Love this little box, so much. I use it for my tank all the time. Though it attracts algae like crazy and can stain easily if you're not careful. But it is an amazing little breeder box and does its job so well. It goes inside the tank and the walls are made of mesh, so the water just flows like it would in the tank. It is a little difficult to assemble, you have to be very specific about how you put it together and snapping the pieces in place can be tricky but once its together its very sturdy. Overall if you don't mind the algae buildup or keeping up with cleaning off the algae then this product is really good for its price. Would recommend.

This one is just about perfect! I had the first version- the frame that you have to stretch a cheap net bag over. It worked okay, but looked awful and collected aquarium gunk. You also had to hook it over the side- hard to do with an acrylic aquarium. This version comes with pre-netted pieces, so when you snap it together everything is snug and tight, no net gapping anywhere. It comes with one suction cup on a floating bar, and this I assumed I would have to replace- but no, it sticks like crazy. No issues whatsoever. This little box kept 30 platy babies safe for weeks- they all survived, no one escaped. It is also excellent as a "time-out" for a naughty fish, or one who is not feeling well. The only issue I had was assembling it- it would seem to snap together, then fall apart in my hands. I was convinced that it wasn't going to work, but if you take the time to sit down with it and really work each snapping point, you will be glad you did. Once you figure it out, it is very sturdy and will not come apart on you. I like the soft blue color as well- it was not such an eyesore in the tank. Such an improvement! Cleans up nicely too, with just a soft toothbrush and water.

The reviews that said this thing was a pain to put together were absolutely right. It took 2 people about 10 minutes just to snap things in place because they didn't want to snap. Also the "float" function of this did not seem to work. We are using it and it is doing it's job of keeping our fry safe, after we positioned it as high as possible in the tank. Yes, the suction cup is small & very cheap, but it is still currently holding after 2 weeks of use

the breeder net was confusing to build somewhat, the parts were not great at all, the suction is powerful but the thing of it is , is that the space between the net and the tank tend to leave an opening for either guppy or platty fish to get stuck in if they squeeze through and find themselves stuck an cant get out 1 my guppy fish was stuck and i got it out just in time cuz it was exhausted being stuck in between so keep eye on your fishes, its a good product but it quality is cheap as heck, only good use out it is for having baby fry fish in it.

Very hard to assemble but got it done. Put in tank with suction cup attached. The box will not stay straight and will fall to left or right just enough that fish don't stay in or out. Moved suction cup up as far as it could go and it still tips over. Needs two or four suction cups to keep it straight. Waited to long to put both together so to late to return. Would not recommend at all.

I struggled a lot getting this to suction to the glass. It kept coming off and I would find it floating around when I checked on it again, despite having low filter flow and attaching it to the opposite side in my tank. At one point it flipped over and all the fry came out and most got eaten. Very disappointed.

I have 30 platy fry that were divided by size in 3 different plastic breeders w/ 3-4 side slits. They would dirty overnight and I would have to rotate and clean them daily without moving or losing any fry. The fry were cramped for space and weren't growing or thriving.... so I came to Amazon. This net is just what I was looking for.. read some bad reviews about not being able to assemble... If you follow the instructions step-by-step you shouldn't have any problem snapping 4 walls and a bottom together. Assembly took less than 10 minutes. OVERNIGHT my fry grew and are visibly happier. I would guess the net breeder gives about 1 liter of H20 for the fry to swim and grow. The mesh allows for constant water movement, while still providing protection. I have 3 sizes of fry in mine and none of them get swept out. One of these net breeders easily fits 30 fry until they are ready for big tank. Great buy! 1st pic- the suction and sliding mechanism that allows the tank to slide up and down with water levels 2nd pic- inside the fry tank just after feeding (so it's a little dirtier than I'd like), but again, it doesn't negatively affect fry behavior like I was seeing w plastic designs.

It's almost perfect! I wish the walls were clearer, and the whole thing a little bigger but overall, its really good! The building process is a little rough, but once it's put together, it works very well. You just have to make sure you hear and audible snap to make sure it's all the way together. The suction cup works very well too! It's a perfect size for my guppy fry. It's really good value for what you spend on it. Overall, i say it's a super good breeder/fry net. Especially for how well priced it is. Definitely recommend.

No bottom separator for egg layers, but did the job for my guppies. Mesh is very fine, but if you feed your fry with baby brine shrimp, the get caught in the mesh and impossible to clean afterwards. Well, cleaned it with bleach...No problems assembling it, after careful studied the construction of the box. Suction cup was goo enough and it did not fail once

A bit hard to assemble . Poor quality. Only 1 small suction cup on the back so is.not strong enough to hold it in place . Keeps sliding down .. ... Not recommended .

Very affordable and well built. Keeps new baby fish safe. Only issue is the suction cups wears out too quickly sinking the whole cage

The product works great mesh, easy to assemble EXECPT for the suction cup that is very very weak My fry ended up being eaten as the suction cup give in overnight. 😔

After reading the reviews I went to the dollar store and bought a couple of suction cups to attach to it to strengthen the hold. They are not needed. It holds fine. The thing floats. It doesn't sink. It took me all of five minutes to assemble. I wish it came in a larger size but have zero complaints. Very good value for what the cost it.
