Our two fluffy orange boys have been a struggle to appropriately feed from the moment we adopted them. Previously I had always had bengals and hybrid cats, so besides some ingredient restrictions, feeding them was never an issue. I didn't swap brands around much, but they were more than eager to eat anything we put down for them. These babies? They are full on cat-cats, and are beyond picky. Treats and Churus? Game on. Food? Nope! Even when tiny kittens, they didn't want to touch the wet foods we'd put down. They were content with dry food, but I wanted them to have a balanced diet with more hydration. By the time we had tried nearly every wet kitten food on the market and narrowed it down to one specific flavor and texture they liked, it was time to move onto adult food and the battle started all over again. Of course they didn't like the adult version of the only thing they'd ever eat! I have tried so many different types, and at least narrowed down textures and flavors they'll accept. No paté, no chunks, no strips, no broth. They'll lick up the gravy from a food, and leave the remnants. They'll snub poultry, and want fish: preferably salmon, but tuna is okay. I had finally found a food that they would eat, but it was limited ingredient to the extreme: basically just chunks of tuna/salmon in gravy. They were still mostly wasting the meat, and honestly I didn't want them eating pure tuna every day because of mercury. They needed something more balanced, so every time we went to the pet store, I'd grab a couple of cans of a new brand or formula we hadn't tried yet. And within their texture and flavor demands, of course. Every time it was like I was throwing my money away. We have donated so much food to our local shelter, it's like we were their supplier. Our last trip to the pet store, again browsing, I had thought I had tried everything, and then I saw these cans and was surprised I had overlooked the Wellness Core line before. I had regularly fed my previous cats Wellness and liked the high quality for the price point. It was actually one of the first brands I tried with these boys for adult food, so I wasn't optimistic but it was worth the shot. Imagine my shock when they went crazy for the tuna and shrimp! I'd never seen them so concentrated on eating, staying at their bowls until they were near empty. Even with the stuff they were okay with, they'd sniff, walk away, and get around to it later. I was overjoyed that we finally found a food they truly liked and would eat, and one that also came in the big cans so we can just split one at meals, less waste, and a better value too. I think the texture is just right for them: not too thick or thin. The next night we tried the tuna and salmon: Success! I could almost weep I was so happy for them finally, after two years, to willingly eat a wet food. It's truly a miracle, and I'm so happy that I can buy this combo of cans in bulk now. My kitties love this food. This is one of the few brands my food snobs eat consistently. I’m not sure how good it is for them given their age (12), but when food obsessed cats are both relentlessly asking for chow and situationally selective (humph), this mix can be relied on. They even eat the chicken. And my cats always walked away from chicken.

I have 4 cats, older and very fussy about their wet food, they do not eat mushy foods and hate anything with chicken. This food seemed to be an answer but although it says they are flakey, they were too mushy. I tried each flavor, used the whole box of food but they never did transition. It looked like a good deal and looked like good food to me but I would not re-order.

The best and healthy cat food ever !! a little bit expensive, but I believe it’s worth it. Since my cats started eating the wellness core signature food, their fur is silky and smooth. A wonderful, healthy food alternative for cats.

This is one of two from Wellness that are my feral cat's favorites in wet food. She's very picky. I feed her premium to help her health, since I can't take her to a vet.

I never had a problem and my cats loved this food, but I started noticing explosive diarrhea that went on for MONTHS. $1,000 of vet visits with healthy results, prescribed antibiotic meds AND G.I. pastes, to no improvement. I narrowed it down to their wet food. We have 4 indoor cats, all healthy - 2 girls, 2 boys. The boys got wet food to help with their urinary tract per vet recommendations. The females had NO diarrhea. I was desperate and hesitantly decided to try other wet food options. I was so confident it wasn't the food due to never having had an issue before and it having such a good reputation, but that was the issue. I had bought this food from both my local pet stores as well as Chewy and Amazon, so it was not a 'batch' issue. It went on for 2 months and both cats began to loose significant weight and were clearly dehydrated due to the diarrhea. They drank a ton of water. I switched to a raw wet food brand sold both in grocery stores AND big chain pet stores - problem solved with BOTH cats within a week. We switched all 4 cats to it and they not only love it but have all shown improvement in playfulness, energy levels and have reduced their water intake significantly. HUGE stress relief for our family. 1/10 WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND AGAIN.
