I never ordered the stair slide. So, therefore, I cannot tell.

Q: can it lay flat to also be used as a transfer sheet?

Yes. We have even used it to roll and place under an adult who had fallen. Then with one person on each side, move them to a sitting position and then lift them from the floor to a transfer chair. If you were to leave it underneath someone, I would use a pad or sheet to also cover for comfort and to prevent skin shearing or friction.

Q: How is this Transfer Seat used to transfer a non-weightbearing patient from a wheelchair into a car seat?

It might be a little difficult to transfer to car. But with some maneuvering with a second or third person you might can do it.

Q: Is the fabric waterproof or at least water resistant?

i’m not sure, i use a disposable bed pad in mine for my mom! it does a great job! it is truly a life saver! it is made from very rugged material!
