Photos all show the towel warmer with a mat underneath. does the warmer get hot to the touch and, most especially, over the floor?

Mine is in the tile shower floor. I have a large shower, so water hitting it is not a concern. It does not need to be on a mat. Heats up quickly and is great!

The timer on mine will not change from 15 minutes is there a way to override that?

Thank you for your inquiry. Please try letting the 15 minute cycle run to completion and turn off on its own. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then press and hold the power button once more to turn it on and try adjusting the timer. If this still does not work, please contact the Customer Support email address listed on the manufacturer pamphlet for warranty information.

Where is this manufactured

Thank you for your inquiry. This product was manufactured in China.

Is it possible to use this with a smart plug to automatically turn on in the morning before I get up?

Thank you for your inquiry. It is unfortunately not compatible with a smart plug as you will need to press and hold the power button in order for it to turn on.
