Best bang for your buck
This is a dang good 3X magnifier. Now remember, this is NOT a top of the line, super expensive accessory, but for the ~$70 you pay, the quality and functionality far exceeds my expectation. The glass is as clear as it gets for this price point (if you want better/clearer glass then you’ll have to pay a lot more). The installation was smooth and easy; it only took about 30 seconds to mount. It aligns perfectly with my Sig Sauer Romeo5- no shims needed, and I mounted it to flip to my right with no issues. It took a few minutes of fiddling with the lens adjustments to get my red dot to the middle of the view, as the adjustments do not work like your traditional windage and elevation- the instructions DID state that that was the case, so as long as you understand that you, shouldn’t get frustrated. Just play around with the adjustments and you’ll figure it out.I have not shot my rifle with this attached yet, so I cannot comment on it’s accuracy or durability. But as for out of the box construction and installation, it is solid, easy to install, impressive quality, and I have no complaints. If you want a good 3X magnifier, but don’t want to break the bank, then this is the one for you.

Great Magnifier!
I was looking for a quality magnifier with good eye relief, and this magnifier didn't disappoint. I shoot an AR10 in 308 and and was worried about getting scope bit because many magnifiers don't offer adequate eye relief. With this optic I do not worry. I was also impressed by the clarity and sturdiness. The materials used are high quality and feel well made. The glass is clear and everything stays in place. This includes the mount. The mount is similar to the way Vortex does their mount, in that it uses a button to flip the optic. My only gripe is that when assembled to flip to the right side, the button is facing forward and needs to be pressed towards the stock. This is not my preferred way to activate the mechanism but it is only slightly awkward to use, and I'm sure I will get used to it. The mount also solidly holds the optic in place in both positions, so no complaints there. Overall, I am more than pleased with this 3x magnifier. It competes with optics twice its cost and does so exceedingly well. Give this product a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Worthless warranty and support
Updated: This review may not make sense if you don't read the original disappointed review included below the update.Tacticon eventually contacted me via email and sent me a replacement unit. They didn't ask for the original to be returned, which was pleasantly surprising. I'd be happy to return it to them as I can't do anything with it, but at this price point it's probably not worth their time to repair it. The new unit is also labeled as a Falcon V1 but it looks different as shown in the new photo I've added. I'm not sure if it's a newer or older version but I think I like this design better. This unit lined up with my inexpensive Bushnell red dot almost instantly. I can see a magnified focused image through the red dot without bobbing my head like a chicken. The new unit functions as expected. I don't know how it compares to more expensive units as this is the only magnifier I've ever had, but based on the quality in relation to the price I give it five stars. Unfortunately, I have to remove one star because the communication with Tacticon over the warranty was poor.------------------------------------------------------Original Review:------------------------------------------------------I will consider changing my review if someone from Tacticon contacts me and fixes the problem as well as addressing the lack of support, but right now I have to rate this as one star. This unit was defective right out of the box. I sent them an email at their support mailbox and waited two days for a response. Nothing. Then I tried calling them. No one answers. After the fourth call on day three I left a message. The next morning I tried calling again, and still no one answered. Finally, I tried using their warranty page on their website. After going through the required process, the webpage gives me an error message and recommends trying again later. I tried again later with the same result. I like to support American companies and especially veterans, but this is some of the worst support I've seen. I suspect I will never be able to get my unit repaired or replaced. You should be prepared to toss your money in the trash if you get a defective one.The issue:I purchased this in Dec 2021 but for complex reasons I didn't get to unbox it until late this summer (2023) when I finally had a chance to attend a rifle class at the national training center (CMP). It was being finicky so I put it back in the box and focused on the rifle skills with just the red dot sight. This week (in Oct 2023) I decided to try and get it installed. No matter how I tried to align this with my red dot sight, it would not work. It's a struggle to get the magnifier to display the red dot sight image even when it looks like it's perfectly lined up externally. The red dot always appears at the top edge of the magnifier and there's no way to get it close to center. Adjusting it takes the red dot completely off the image where you can't see it. In addition, the eye relief is impossible to get right, as the image is completely black if you aren't exactly in the right spot. I've never owned a magnifier before, so I didn't know how they should behave.I finally figured out that the lenses seem to be misaligned internally. Externally, the front and rear lenses look perfect, so it has to be an internal lens that's out of alignment. The image is not round, it's "oval" and you always end up seeing part of the internal tube. This magnifier has been defective since day 1. In the photos I've included, the magnifier is lined up perfectly with my camera. The first image is with my camera zoom, the second image is 1X. It should have a round image appearing in there. Total piece of junk. If I don't hear back from Tacticon in the next week then I'll probably go buy a Bushnell, and avoid buying anything from Tacticon ever again.

Now I get it
I never thought a 3X magnifier was something I would have a use for since that is such low magnification relative to my high dollar scopes ("why not just get a scope then?", I would think), but I put this on one of my AR's that has a Holosun red dot, thinking the magnifier might squeeze out a couple hundred more yards of practical range for my old, weak eyes. Bingo! This thing is nice! Be advised it is the first and only magnifier like this i have ever purchased so I can't compare to other brands or what is possible, but I am very satisfied with the build, glass, and function of this magnifier. I like to practice CQC with this particular rifle and then move out to 300 to 400 yards and bang a little steel at those yardages for fun and this 3X magnifier enables me to do that pretty well. One word of advice: Read the directions, sparse tho they be. I tried setting windage first and then elevation. I couldn't get the elevation to move hardly at all. Then I read the directions and they tell you that adjustments are not truly horizontal and vertical, they move more diagonally, and I found it best to move the windage a little, then some elevation, then windage, and so on until I got it where I wanted. Not hard if you do it right. I'll probably buy another one. That way I have an excuse to buy another gun to put under it.

Incredible package for the price.
Let me cut to the chase. This is an incredible package for the price. You seriously can't go wrong. The magnifier is nicely packaged in a matte black box with a glossy Tacticon logo and product name. Well protected in foam cutouts. Included is everything necessary to make it work with whatever you have mounted. There's even diagram/instructions in case you're unsure or unfamiliar with what you've purchased.I have it paired with a Vortex StrikeFire II and needed to use the included shim to raise the magnifier up. No issues, it's working great. If I didn't already have a red dot, I would seriously consider the matching Predator sight based on the quality of the magnifier. I mounted it so it opens up to the right (I'm a lefty and wanted it out of the way of my offset flip up sights), no problems. The release to flip the magnifier is big and easy to push and locks the magnifier nicely into either position. Easy one handed operation. The magnifier itself is crisp and clear and has a focus ring to adjust the focus if it's blurry. Everything about it feels solid and well put together. The adjustment screws make it really easy to move the glass to help center the red dot. It doesn't take much.I'm seriously impressed with the complete package. I honestly feel like I paid too little for what I received. This is my second purchase from Tacticon. The first being the offset flip up sights. The quality of the products at the price point cannot be beat.

Great Glass, But Red Dot Distortion Holds It Back – Still a Fan of Tacticon
The Tacticon Falcon V1 3X Magnifier delivers impressive optical clarity on its own, with quality construction and a smooth flip-to-side mount. However, when paired with the Tacticon Predator V2 reflex sight — a combo that should work seamlessly — the red dot streaks through the magnifier, limiting effective use and focus. As a loyal user of many Tacticon products, I’ve generally had great experiences with the brand, and I still strongly recommend their gear overall. That said, this particular magnifier/reflex pairing leaves some uncertainty about what’s causing the issue. I’m hoping a future upgrade to a newer optic and magnifier combo resolves it, though the added cost is a consideration.Pros:- Crystal Clear Magnification: The glass on the magnifier itself is very clear and provides a crisp image downrange.- Solid Build: Like most Tacticon products, this unit feels durable and well-constructed.- Easy Mounting: Flip-to-side mount works well and fits securely on a Picatinny rail.- Veteran-Owned Company: Always great to support a U.S. disabled veteran-owned business.- Compatible Design: Advertised to pair with Tacticon’s own optics, including the Predator V2 reflex sight.Cons:- Dot Clarity Issue: When used with the Predator V2 reflex sight (aligned correctly), the red dot appears streaked or blurred through the magnifier, making it hard to focus on targets downrange.- Compatibility Concerns: While marketed as cross-compatible, the visual distortion makes it unclear whether the issue lies with the magnifier, the reflex sight, or the combination of both.

Great Magnifier in every aspect.
This sight is very sturdy, seems well constructed. The glass is exceptionally clear and the windage/elevation knobs are easy to use. I’m using this with a Sightmark Reflex sight and it clears the rear of the sight without the included riser, but I’m using the riser for a little extra eye relief. For $70, this flip to side feature is what I was most worried about, and let me say, it is a very clean, swift, and easy movement to do whether you are left handed or right handed. Two slight drawbacks, this is not fog proof which I found out after an rainy day at the range, but not a big issue...and the mounting screws that hold the sight to the mount do not have any sort of locking/weather seal on them, so initially the sight came loose from the mount. By using some non-permanent Loctite, I was able to take care of this problem easily. Overall I would recommend this to a friend and would buy again.

Great Company, Great Product
First off, i personally appreciate that Tacticon checks up on ya when you buy their products. I buy stuff all the time from amazon and rarely do i get a check up from that company. So good on ya Tacticon! Also, they are veteran owned, which is a huge plus cause veterans know reliability.Secondly, this FTS is bad to the bone baby! It's made quite well. The hardware [mount, screws and such] 100%! The magnifier itself, ain't no cheapy quality i tell ya. And the glass is very clean! I have it mounted up with my SightMark ultra shot holographic sight and it lined up without use of any shim or risers. Also lined up with my Sightmark reflex sight well [same story]. I'm bettin it'll line up well with most holographic sights, but regular red dots may need a riser or somethin. But heck, if you don't have a red dot, grab theirs. You won't regret that purchase either. Also, you can choose which side you won't to flip that thang to. And as always, go on and locktite your screws and such.:RANT:Don't write a poor review on a company just because you got your package and it's banged up and your product is broken. That ain't the company's fault, thats the ones who brought it to you. Just keep that in mind. Myself and many others rely on reviews and when I'm scrollin through and see 3 stars and the reviews are ignorant, i scoff. Don't get yourself scoffed at. Be smart. Or try. I digress =]
