Martha Stewart's Cakes: Our First-Ever Book of Bundts, Loaves, Layers, Coffee Cakes, and More: A Baking Book

This is the best book I have ever bought. So far, I have baked 8 of the recipes and have repeated a few of them. The recipes are easy to follow, particularly for an amateur like me, but the final product is amazing.

Martha explains in great detail how to make icing and bake, which is my favorite hobby. I will bake it, take a bit, and give the remaining baked goods away. I will tell the person that I got the recipe from Martha Stewart's Cakes Cookbook. Thanks Martha, I know my friends will buy.

This book is similar to her other books on Cupcakes, Cookies, and Pie & Tarts. I have enjoyed the other ones and I will enjoy this one as well. There are a good variety of recipes, both common recipes, as well as some unusual ones. A few that are looking particularly appealing to me are the Molasses-Spice Cake with Cream Cheese-Sour Cream Frosting and Brown-Sugar Glaze(a lot of hypens but sounds delicious, especially for fall), Strawberries-and-Cream Cheesecake, Lemon Meringue Cake, and Cheesecake with Poached Apricots. Some of the features of the book that I really enjoy are having a color picure of each recipes, and having a list of all recipes at the front of the book under each chapter heading so you can easily glance through to find an appealing recipe or see if a recipe is included for a particular cake you are looking for.

I love to bake and I love cakes and I got very tired of looking up recipes online only to find most of them based on cake mixes. If been using a lot of Martha Stewart's record and decided it would just be easier to have a book. I looked through a variety of her books and picked this based on reviews and content. I am so not disappointed! The recipes are well written, good hints and tips, beautiful photos, lots of extra touches. The cakes are amazing, the frostings wonderful (there are a ton of frosting recipes). I wish I could make a different cake ever day. My only complaint is that this isn't helping my diet, but it sure satisfies my desire to bake and my sweet tooth.

What a perfect baking cookbook. The absolutely best cookbook on cakes that I've ever seen and owned. The chocolate cake was heavenly. The directions were perfect and the book has so many pictures. Almost every recipe had a picture. Worth the price and a keeper.

I love to cook, like to bake, and have mastered bars & cookies, but have never been very good at cakes, no matter how hard I tried. So I decided to go to Martha. Tried the maple cake this weekend, and it came out perfect! There are several others I'm looking forward to trying, like the chocolate cherry upside down cake. Great photos, good directions, If you think you can't bake a cake - give this book a try before you give up.

As always I'm a huge Martha Stewart supporter and I had to buy this book as soon as I saw it was available. It's part of her other series of books like Cupcakes, Cookies and Pies/Tarts. I had to get this to add to my collection. I noticed some differences in the fonts used throughout the book when comparing to the older books but it's still fine. I still love it and the recipes are fantastic! You can never go wrong with a Martha recipe! I've made a few things from here already and everything has turned out delicious! If you're looking for a cake book, this is it and it's pretty easy for beginner cake bakers!

Ich habe für mich das Backen entdeckt. Dabei kann ich entspannen und den anstrengenden Alltag vergessen. Da ich gerne neues ausprobiere, hab ich mir dieses Buch bestellt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Wahnsinnig viele Rezepte vom Rührkuchen bis zur Torte und sogar Kuchen und Torten aus Eis sind in dem schön bebilderten Buch zu finden. Darüberhinaus viele Tipps und Tricks, Grundrezepte für Frostings und Buttercreme z.B. Die Anleitung ist leicht verständlich(mein Schulenglisch reicht allemal), keine Zutaten, die man nicht besorgen könnte. Da in den USA mit Cups und tea-bzw tablespoon abgemessen wird, hab ich mir, auch hier bei amazon, ein entsprechendes Set besorgt. Ich persönlich finde es viel einfacher als immer alles mit der Waage abzuwiegen. Ich habe kein einziges Rezept gefunden, welches ich nicht nachbacken wollen würde. Alles in Allem ein gelungener Kauf. ich freu mich aufs Backen und danke an amazon für den immer schnellen Versand.

Même quelqu'un de pas expert réussirait ces recettes et en plus elles sont très justes, on a toujours un résultat parfait, je suis fan de MS et j'ai d'autres livres aussi, tous aussi performants et utiles.
