Contigo Transit AUTOSEAL Travel Mug, Thermal-Mug, 5h hot, 470 ml

Having read various positive and negative reviews about this, I was really undecided and not sure what to expect, especially as it is quite expensive for a thermal mug. Now that I've used it on a daily basis for several weeks now I can categorically highly recommend it - and it is worth every penny. It doesn't leave a metallic aftertaste; it keeps my tea piping hot for several hours (and still drinkable 10 hours later!); it doesn't leak at all; it is fairly easy to clean (but like every other mug I have had, there is a build-up around the ridges in the lid); it is sturdy and very well made. I know some reviewers have commented that the spring broke after a short period of time but I have not had any issues with this. Like everything, I tend to be quite gentle when dismantling/opening the various bits for cleaning. I have also only once experienced a bit of 'drip-age' when I went to take another mouthful and dribbled down my top. On watching what I did, it was entirely 'operator error' and was because I took my finger off the button while the mug was still tilted. Having realised what I did, I now make sure that I have the mug vertical before releasing the button - no more drip-age! You will not be disappointed with this item and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I have had another mug by the same manufacturer and it was rubbish! It leaked the seal didn't fit and when I tried it it would go everywhere sometimes and some times it would be sealed. This however is easy to use, the lid seals perfectly every time and it works. I have been using it on a regular basis and it is as good as new and it keeps my coffee at just the right temperature, I have mine black at 90 degrees. It does go cooler after 3 hours but still a good cup. If for some reason I was to lose it I would definitely buy another. I am still using mine very regularly and all is still excellent. Update Oct 2022, I persuaded my wife to try my Travel Mug when she was going on a long walk. I made her coffee to the same temperature as mine at 90 degrees. She found it was perfect and all the way through a 4 hour walk. Guess what! Yes I have had to buy her one too, but in the stainless and blue, so we are both happy.

Amazing mug, does not leak, keeps your brew hot for a long time and the button press to drink is great when driving (not that you should be doing that). Holds a decent amount of beverage too!

These are great. The second one of this type I’ve purchased for my wife. The last one had done 5 years and have to say it is still mechanically great but was a little dirty so time to replace. But that’s my choice. Very good quality.

I mainly use this mug for taking cold drinks when I'm playing tennis, and it keeps them very cold for several hours at least, plenty long enough for my needs anyway! I have also used it for coffee and it was good enough, but did seem to be cooling down a little by the end, maybe 3 hours in. If find it slightly tricky to get the top lined up properly for a good seal, but as per the instructions, get there in the end by screwing backwards a few times. At first I found I was often spilling the drink down my front, but this is all about technique. You have to press the button first, then put it to your mouth, and finally start tipping until the drink starts to flow, and hey presto, no more spillage!

Bought this to replace my old and battered Contigo travel mug. This one is well built and keeps the beverage really hot for quite some time.

Bought this mug on 31st of October writing it after daily use on 16th of January. I've had contigo twist seal in black before so I have something to compare it with. Firstly the quality has greatly reduced and it feels like contigo forgot to reduce price. Inner layer is no longer ceramic.. Overall quality became worse, feel cheaper lighter and less solid. Negatives: •Low quality •No ceramic coating •Cheaper ligher less solid build quality •Feels like you pay 35 quid just for Contigo name on it. •Doesn't keep heat long enough comparing to twist seal. •Auto seal technology requires you to cool the liquid down a bit before closing (or adding milk or water to your hot drink) Before "sealing" it. • just like with twistseal, you cannot buy a spare cap is it break or cracks as the result of the drop. You'll need to buy entire mug... •overpriced Positives: Textured rubber grip. Best part of the mug improvement and the only one. When the cup is wet much firmer grip and does not and will not slip out of your hands. Autoseal button located in natural hold position to pressing it feels effortless and you don't have to think about it. If I were reviewing twist seal it would 4 stars only because of grip handle and irreplaceable twistseal cap. Literally change these 2 on your ceramic coated twist seal and you'll have a mug that actually worth paying 35 quid for something I use every single day! The price for it shouldn't be more than 20 quid. When you reduce quality don't forget to reduce the price.

Thermos stupendo sia per qualità di materiali che per resistenza del calore interno! Esteticamente fa la sua figura e svolge un ottimo lavoro, la uso tutti i giorni in università e devo dire che è resistente oltre che tenere la temperatura calda per più di tutta la mattina. Davvero soddisfatta, poi contigo è una garanzia. Spedizione arrivata in orario nonostante mi fosse stato detto che ci sarebbe stato un ritardo nella consegna. Consigliato!

Très bon mug de voyage Le café reste chaud plusieurs heures (surtout si vous le remplissez d’eau bouillante pendant qq minutes avant du verser votre café!). Aucune fuit n’est à déplorer ! Un must!

2 yıl önce gri olanını almıştım, o zaman siyah versiyonu yoktu. 2 yıl önce aldığımı da hala kullanıyorum ama şimdi 2 tane daha aldım. Çok memnunum, sızdırmıyor ve kilit sistemine bayılıyorum.

Ergonomik ısı koruması çok mükemmel değil, ben gün içinde su içmek için kullanıyorum sızdırmazlık ve mekanizma çok iyi, sıcak bir içecek için dikkatli olun dudak yakabilir…

Me encantó el termo, se ve muy elegante y la tapa muy funcional, no se derrama una gota, es el segundo que compro de la marca porque es mi favorita, duran mucho tiempo y mantienen las bebidas frías o calientes por más tiempo. Súper lo recomiendo
