I love Unicorn Beetle cases from Supcase. I had one on my Google Nexus 6, and the phone is still fully functional over four years after I bought it. I credit these cases with it's survival. I don't drop my phones very often, but when I do, I don't like to worry that I'm gonna be out hundreds of dollars on a new one. These cases are sturdy and thick enough they give me that luxury. After my experience with the undying Nexus 6, I decided to only buy phones that I could get a Unicorn Beetle case for. That lead me to the A50. It's also still in great shape for having been protected by this case. I will admit, these cases aren't exactly pretty, but a good cell phone is an investment. You want that investment to pay off for at least a few years, and that will only happen if you properly protect it. These cases give (I hate this expression, but in this case it's appropriate) peace of mine. There are issues, however. The built in screen protector is nice and easy to clean, but can negatively effect the fingerprint reader. However, the fingerprint reader in the A50 is notoriously finnicky, so I can't dock it a star for that. The screen protector also tends to get moisture underneath it, which necessitates cleaning because it can leave a little grime under the protector. However, it's easy enough to clean up. Pop the case off and wipe the screen and the protector, inside and out, with a damp microfiber cloth. Not rocket science. You'll also want to wipe down the phone and the interior of the case here and there, as it can accrue dirt over time that can damage the finish on the phone. That's true of any case, however. I highly recommend these cases to anyone looking for a case that isn't sexy, but that will protect what's inside it. Even a more budget-friendly option like the A50 looks better with an intact screen, and I've never had a broken screen in a phone protected by one of these cases.

Camera is clear of interference from case Have dropped it 3 times now on concrete and still kicking. Cons" The case gets things behind it randomly that poke out on screen. Somehow oil also makes it's way behind protector and you get those rainbow effects. All and all it is a very good case at it's price point.

Very nice case, fit my A50 perfectly. It's better than my Otter Box, that I had to replace with this case. I like this one because of the built-in screen protector and this case seems to seal and protect better so far , time will tell though. It was almost half the price of the Otter Box. For about $20, I feel it was a good buy. 👍

I love this case. I had my first one for about a year. However, in the last few months before I ordered a new one, the plastic screen protector was so scratched it was totally distracting and made using my phone more challenging. So for this one, I did what many others did. I cut out the plastic screen protector and put a glass screen protector directly on my phone. Workes like a charm. The drawback is it may not be waterproof anymore. But most of my problems come from dropping my phone on concrete and tile floors, so I am not as concerned about water. So far the outside casing is GREAT. My phone has survived all kinds of drops, falls, flights through space, and collisions with Earth. Thank you for a reasonably priced option to ensure the longevity of my phone.

This all around protector is great. It covers my phone completely. I have dropped my phone several times now and it has suffered no damage. I love that it has an integrated cover for the front. This keeps the whole of the phone protected from damage. I used to have a glass cover that was separate from the rest of the phone protector. The glass screen was easily cracked while it was replaced under the warranty, eventually didn't prevent my phone screen from cracking. The screen cover on this protect is plastic but is sensitive/responsive to my touch. I love that there is a stand on the back so that I can rest my phone standing up-i love to read and this makes it much easier when I have a moment to open one of my ebooks on my phone. I wish it had an integrated wallet on the back but if the choice is protecting my phone or another convenience, I choose protection first. Reasonable cost for piece of mind that my phone is protected from most damage. This is not a waterproof phone protector but then most aren't. Good value for the price, great protection for the price.

As an individual who relies on his cell phone for his business a case is essential to keep it protected. I normally wait a year to a year and a half before any reviews for them to be realistic and this case is about a year and four months old. First to know is that I do not abuse the phone nor it is exposed to rough environments. The couple of "falls" it has taken the case has done a wonderful job of protection. It also protects from scratches, pocket travel, backpack travel, and a curious cat. However liquids should be avoided as it can make its way in. Water is a no brainer and nowhere does it state waterproof, but a little splash of hand sanitizer from a defective pump almost spelled doom if you get my meaning. Had it been the only issue it would not have merited docking a star or two, but the added kickstand issue merits it. To some a kickstand is useless, or an add on, some may even say to get a sticky ring, however it is an integral part of the unit, and as such you pay for it. From day one I could tell it was the weakest link, and as such treated it with care. I do rely on the phone to be in upright position when texting many clients using USB keyboard, and sometimes there is no stand or convenient book to prop it up so the kickstand is called into action. Sadly it simply broke off, no strong pull, no fall, it simply fell off, the paper thin plastic joint that held it to the metal stud broken clean. Still, had it been the only case of that I own I may have had doubts that perhaps something whacked it, but I purchased two, the other for the wife's phone, and she never uses the kickstand (she is the one that finds it as an unnecessary add on), and it fell off the same way. In summary: Practice phone safety around water. Kickstand is weak and flimsy and will break. Protection is alright for daily non abusive use. Be realistic in expectations here, for the price don't expect or demand an Otterbox (which in all honesty does not merit the exorbitant price difference unless you are going to the field). This little case is decent, and does it job as protector of your investment. Three stars for its protection quality, two for flimsy kickstand.
