Reading Skills: Grade 5 (Flash Kids Harcourt Family Learning)

We’ve used both level 4 and level 5. Highly recommend. Colorful and student driven. My daughter found it very interesting. I like the way skills were introduced and reinforced. Great for homeschoolers.

My kids need reading book. This book is how she find the answer to problem. Let her know about the way.

I teach Language Arts to 5th grade struggling readers and this book is terrific! I use this book and especially like the sections on Finding the: Main Idea, Making Inferences, and making Conclusions. You may or may not like to introductions to each section. You may want to do your own introductions to: Main Idea, Inferences, etc... But the illustrations and the paragraphs are well written and interesting. Just keep it in mind!

I like these books. Simple for my 5th grader to do the work, without hovering. Wish it had some lessons that got more difficult in each section .

Easy to read with questions for students to answer

I am home schooling my kids and this has been an excellent supplemental resource. It's not overwhelming or long, the lessons are short but helpful.

It's helpful, particularly for the summer.

GOOD PRODUCT, GOOD PRICE

I am a native English speak living abroad and my children go to local schools learning the local language. I want to make sure that their English is at the same level as it would be in the US. I love how these workbooks: 1. teach different reading comprehension skills, ie main idea, conclusions, inference 2. expose the children to interesting historical or scientific information Because the texts are interesting to read and the units and chapters short, they don’t mind doing this “extra” homework from mommy.

Tutta la collana è ottima, abbiamo comprato tutti i libri anno dopo anno e l'insegnamento dell'inglese procede a gonfie vele. Nostra figlia li usa volentieri ed i risultati si vedono. Pensiamo che potrebbero tranquillamente venire usati anche nelle scuole.
