These were initially purchased to assist my walking until post spinal decompression surgery. I’ve been putting off buying trekking poles for years because, frankly, I like gear that lasts, and that necessitates buying expensive stuff. My breaking point was the high pain level when walking even across the room. I’m looking forward to soon use these for hiking. In the meantime, they’ve seen a couple hundred miles over the past few months. I did add a pair of Leki Rubber Tips because the stock plastic ones are very slick on solid surfaces. Those have been very nice in that they reduce shocks felt in the hands and wrists. I’ll likely remove them in favor of the tungsten tips that remain on underneath the rubber caps.

Quality construction, comfortable cork grips, easily foldable to a compact size when not needed. Really helped with rucking particularly for adding stability with heavier weights. These are fixed length which works for me, but when on steep trails, I can see how adjustable length style poles can be useful.

I need shorter poles. If these were shorter, I would have kept them.

I went to use the product for the first time and the assembly broke. It was necessary to use SilverTape to continue my trail in Chile.The company sent new equipment replacing the old one. Thank you!!

I love that they fold into such a tiny space—they fit in a small suitcase. They’re easy to put together, comfortable to hold onto, and are tough. I’ve been using them on very rocky terrain with no problems at all. Perfect.

The poles were exactly what i needed for trail running! I run on some steep trails and I needed a pair of foldable, sturdy poles. These fit the bill.

Black Diamond has excellent customer service. I've used their poles for years and have never been let down. I like the new Carbon Z poles. I like the fixed length. I like the way they break down. I've used this set on 3 R2R's and the poles are holding up well.

L'attenzione al dettaglio nella costruzione del prodotto emerge ad ogni passo; grande attenzione alla ottimizzazione del peso, dove ad esempio è stato usato un cavo in kevlar al posto del classico in acciaio, oltre al corpo intereamente in carbonio; la maniglia in sughero ed eva assorbe benissimo il sudore e l'ho trovata molto ergonomica. il tutto porta il singolo bastone a pesare circa 210 gr (variante 110 cm). So che ne esistono a prezzi molto più bassi ma per chi come me frequenta la montagna assiduamente le differenze con altri bastoni posseduti in questi anni si fanno apprezzare molto.

Great lightweight hiking poles. Look really good. Pack away great. Couple of things. Baskets would be better to be removable. They aren’t. Tips quite hard to swap out. Set length poles. Something to be aware of. Esp if you plan on using these at the end of the day for a tent. Otherwise, they are light and effective for hiking. And are top quality.

Super bâtons, bien rigides et plutôt légers, qui inspirent confiance quant à leur solidité (bien plus que les bâtons orientés trail). Fonctionnement très pratique, bien plus rapide à mettre en place que des télescopiques. Après 20 ans à régler systématiquement mes bâtons à la même longueur, je n'avais finalement pas beaucoup d'intérêt à avoir des modèles réglables... La rigidité est appréciable à chaque planter, en comparaison avec des modèles en alu de poids équivalent, qui vibrent de manière désagréable. Autre avantages d'un modèle pliable : beaucoup plus compact une fois replié que n'importe quel bâton télescopique ! Juste un petit jeu au niveau du système de verrouillage qui peut-être légèrement désagréable (la partie principale du bâton est légèrement libre latéralement par rapport à la poignée quand on le lève), mais c'est vraiment un détail. A voir sur la durée...
