DV by Dolce Vita Women's Java Ankle Boot

This is a great boot! There are a few little hiccups (hence the 4 stars instead of the 5). I have a higher arch and thus it makes it much harder to slip this boot on and off..loosening the straps has helped with this issue. I also did not find the foot bed as comfortable as some other reviewers, but again, I think this will be an easy fix with some cushion insoles. I bought this boot in Black with the brown leather straps and love the colors together! It makes it so versatile! I can wear them with so many things in my wardrobe. Some reviewers mentioned the flimsy leather straps, I didn't find to be so bad, they were thin, yes, but it made it easier to adjust the straps that way. For me, this boot was very true to size. I ordered a 6.5 and it fit just right. I don't feel as though I can wear a thick sock with it, but I wouldn't want to size up. Even with the "hiccups" I am so happy with this boot!UPDATE: I just wore these shoes all day long (without any extra cushion insoles) and have to say my feet are happy as can be! Maybe these boot just needed a little "breaking in" time. Anyway, I just wanted to mention this.

These boots were a reasonable purchase. I read a lot of the other reviewers and was worried about the quality. I have purchased DV before and found their shoes to be quite well made so I was a little surprised. I purchased these in Brown suede and they seem to be quite well made. I have only worn them twice though but the straps of my shoe seem to be well in tact unlike other posters saying their straps broke? The brown suede has a little bit of a metallic finish, so if you don't like that, then I wouldn't purchase the brown. It's not overpowering however I can notice a slight sheen to the suede.The fit was right for me, not too small or big, and they were quite comfortable to wear even after an 8 hour shift.Overall, happy with them.

This is an extremely cute boot. It fits well with skinny jeans only though. I can't imagine wearing boot cut pants with these. Also, as expected, these are very western and casual looking boots. The black leather is a little "worn" looking, which I like, but if you are looking for a more refined look, check out the other DV boots, like the Callia. Regarding fit, I usually wear a 9 in Ninewest boots, but have another DV ankel bootie in a 8.5. I got the 8.5 in this boot because I didn't want too much room. I can wear a thinner sock, but definitely not a thicker one. Overall, a very good buy, good addition to my closet.

These are amazing boots, and I wanted to love them, but they were not depicted accurately. I was expecting a dark, chocolate brown for the brown suede pair that I ordered. However, the boots were actually more of a reddish or auburn than chocolate brown. It almost looks like the colours are reversed for the 'chocolate leather' and 'brown suede'. Or perhaps I got a one-off mistake in shipping, although the boots I received were DEFINITELY suede and not smooth leather.They fit true to size (I am a narrow size 8, in every shoe I've ever tried), the buckle/strap is really cute, the heel is the perfect comfortable height, and the suede is good quality, but the reddish brown just doesn't work for me. Had to return, might try again with black.

I loved the look of these boots on a friend and really wanted them for the spring. The fit is somewhat snug across the middle of the foot but they are not uncomfortable. After I wore them twice, the straps detached from the boot. I thought they were unbuckled but they were actually completely loose - looks like they were secured with cheap glue. I'm sad that I can't exchange them and try again since my size is unavailable but I refuse to bring them to a shoemaker and pay to have them fixed when they are brand new. So sadly, they will be returned.

This is a very cute style but it is not suede as stated, that was my first disappointment. It is a "rough" leather but not a real suede. It is a very stiff boot and not really very comfortable and very hard to put on. I am currently trying to decide whether to keep the boot or return it. Also, the price dropped $20 the day that I received it from UPS. I did address this with Amazon and they did credit my card for that amount without a problem - thank you for that Amazon!

I saw the bootie style popping up all over and decided to try these.I am so glad I did. I love them.I usually wear a 8.5/9, and ordered these in 9 because I tend to have wide feet. They fit perfect. I was very worried they would be too narrow...nope, they fit wide feet well. Slide on and off easily.They are very cute. Other reviews said the strap was cheap, but I think it's fine. I think the strap adds really cute detail. I've gotten several compliments on these boots already.They are pretty comfortable. I really like wearing them. The darker toe isn't my favorite, but it's okay, I think it's adds some style.Of course, amazon has the best price on these. If you are interested in these, take the leap and buy them. They are really a great bootie.

I absolutely love these shoes. The fit is amazing - they are the most comfortable heels I have ever bought. They're also true to size - I'm usually a 7 and with cheaper brands / designers I notice I have to get a 6.5, they seem to be made for bigger feet. These are a 7 and they fit perfectly, even on my flat feet.I left off a star because the "belt" looks a tad cheap, but even still they are gorgeous. I'm sure with regular wear they'll get that "worn-in" look and will look even more amazing.
