Hella H71070772 Optilux XB Series H8 Xenon White Halogen Bulbs, 12V, 55W, 2 Pack

Brighter and more white and clear than OEM bulb. Super easy to replace, simply unscrew the plastic bulb cover in the engine compartment and twist the bulb a quarter turn and it comes right out. Unhook the wiring harness and reverse the steps and it's that simple. Great value for a very high quality bulb. Used silicon gloves to make sure I did not handle the glass.

The stock Osram-Sylvania are brighter @ 35w than these alledged 55w units. Yeah they are "whiter" but produce less light (lumens) - the specs allude to......35% higher lumens, this is pure BS. Also dont be fooled by the "Offroad Only" disclamer, is quite the exaggeration. This moniker used to mean NON-DOT ultra high performance, as does currently tires and such, not the case with these bulbs. Bottom line: These are a waste of money and a waste of the 35-40 minutes installing one of them. I can see why Hella did not want to put their name on them. I would have gladly paid more for a better product.

Sold thousands of Hella Optilux through previous parts stores. Excellent products. Great price, great quality. Color matches my HID headlights. These 55W are very bright and have a great color.

Nice White light that matches my high beams and xenon's. Its noticeably brighter with the 20 extra watts of output power. Installed on a 2003 BMW E39 530i

I must say I am disappointed with these bulbs. They are dingy yellow, NOT white. They are not as bright as the OEM bulb. I ordered them due to the OEM form factor for easier install. I originally ordered: Cree LED Angel Eyes Halo Light Bulb H8 180W CREE LED Marker Halo Light. These are bright white and brighter than stock. For the price they are a great option. Only issue is they are difficult to install, i could not get them to screw in and tighten. They are longer than the OEM and do not have the L shape form factor, with minimal room I could not get them to turn and tighten. If anyone has any install tips and tricks or maybe a useful tool that fits in the bulb area that will allow me to turn these in I would be very grateful. I am updating my original review after purchasing a 2nd pair for use as fog lights on my BMW 335i. These used as fog lights are bright and white, the advertised 4200k temp is pretty damn accurate vs. The original 2700k bulbs that were installed. I also did some digging on why they dont look as bright and white as DRL Angel Eyes. Depending on the year and equipment packaging the DRL Angel Eyes operate at a different voltage which is programmed by BMW. As a DRL they operate on full program voltage. When the DRLs are used with the HID headlights, the voltage is cut by 50%. Hence the dull, dingy output. All of this can be corrected using programming software. The DRL Halo voltage can be increased while they run in DRL mode only and in combo with the HID headlights. I stand corrected after further use of these bulbs in multiple applications, for the price and ease of install (no error codes, no resistors needed like LED) they seem pretty damn bright and white. They work great but the light is definitely not as bright. I see my lights drown out as soon as someone drives next to me or head on. Also under some circumstances with roads and lighting you can't even tell you have them on.

Not bright enough.

Replaced the fog lights on my 2011 Kia Optima SX with these and couldn't be happier. OEM lights had a yellowish tint to them. These lights provided a very nice white light that completes the look for the car.

I received these bulbs Sept 27 and didn't install right away. Probably a week later I got around to putting them in. Then November 10 one of the bulbs was no longer working. After removing the bulb to check it, the inside of the bulb was all messed up (see pictures). I haven't seen this happen before on these type of bulbs. And just for the record I didn't touch the glass of the bulb while installing and I also wore rubber medical gloves when I was installing them, so it definitely wasn't from that. Unfortunately there is only a 30 day warranty on these, so no returning them I guess, I should have known better.

They work and no they’re not blue when you have the headlights on so it’s good

Not the K (temp) rating as advertised. Didn't see much difference from my oem yellowish lights
