Excellent
Not too dark but good enough to work fine in direct sunlight, as you would hope. The frame plastic does not feel to sturdy but is not wobbly and I haven't had any cracks yet. I use the FF case though as I don't trust the plastic frames holding up while in my backpack. The frames look fine though and fit perfectly on my head, although I have a slightly smaller head. The lenses look sick and do a decent job of the "mirror" effect.I got these sunglasses because they had a sweet design and they have lived up to expectations in the style and effectiveness department, especially for the great price compared to "aviators" or a more expensive brand.5 stars for devilish looks, good sun block, and holding up.

Great for fishing!!!!!!
I wanted a pair of polarized glasses since I go fishing just about every week but I didn't want to pay a lot. What a difference these make. I can see so much more fish through the water. The colors really stand out and it makes spotting fishing whether I'm on a boat or wade fishing which I do a lot of. They fit great on my head.I compared them to my friends Costas. They are not as good but surprisingly there is not an extreme difference. They have the same tint coloring although the Costas are darker and more comfortable. But to see through the water to spot fish these are not too far behind the Costas.Pros- Inexpensive- Visibility in the water is wonderful- Colors are vivid- you wownt cry if you break themCons- Cheaper plastic- the main thing. The nose rests are uncomfortableI recommend these to everyone if they are looking for a main pair to wear all the time or just to have as a back up.

Nicely polarized, very crisp optics
Nicely polarized, very crisp optics. Fit and finish is good, they arrived straight and feel solid. For the price this is a no-brainer. The reason I knocked a star off is because they are SMALL. The nose grips pinch leaving marks and I know we are all different people but I'm telling you these glasses are a bit small. I use them for paddle boarding around the Florida Keys so I'm happy they wont fall off my head!

You can get better polarized lenses at Walmart for cheaper
The glasses are decent looking, decent price for polarized lenses, and a decent fit. But, that's all they are. The picture, in particular, is quite misleading. Instead of a neon green/amber/blue mirror finish, it's the same lens that you see in cheapo glasses, vaguely-multi-colored-blue-green-purple-yellow-ish. You can get better polarized lenses at Walmart for cheaper. My Walmart happened to be out right now (sold out for the summer, I suppose), but these really aren't worth 20 bucks. 10 would be ideal, 15 is kinda pushin' it.

Great relatively cheap glasses.
Edit 13 years later. Still using this style and have purchased multiple pairs to replace list or damaged ones. I use them for almost anything outdoors where I could benefit from Sun and or eye protection. Though these are not rated as safety glasses, they work fine for protecting my eyes from occasional sawdust and loose parts.Decent Polarized sunglasses. I was looking for a relatively cheap pair of Polarized sunglasses for wearing fishing and just for general use, playing basketball and other sports. I recently got Lasek eye surgery. The doctor said I need to be religious about wearing sunglasses for about a year. I splurged and bought a pair of nice polarized aviator glasses at the eye doctor after my surgery for about $100 (one of the cheapest pairs). I bought these because I know the aviators would not work well for active sports, and all the sunglasses at the eye doctor designed for active users were in the range of $200 - $500. Hopefully these will suffice. They are working great so far and look much nicer than what you woul find on the Walmart shelves.

Good pair of sunglasses
Decent and OK pair of polarized sunglasses. Needed a relatively cheap pair of polarized sunglasses for wearing on the water and for camping. These are comfortable to wear, light, and look good to me. They have been durable and subjected to rough treatment. They have stood up well and perform as you would expect. The lenses have not scratched yet and are great at blocking glare and allowing me to see below the water surface. The price is right too. Especially on sale.

I have designer sun glasses that cost nearly 8x as much as these Flying Fisherman and they are not as comfortable and not as eff
I use my glasses mainly for driving. I have designer sun glasses that cost nearly 8x as much as these Flying Fisherman and they are not as comfortable and not as effective at improving visibility in bright sunlight. One thing I've noticed about the Flying Fisherman glasses is that they not only reduce the amount of bright sunlight, but they make things brighter. I know that sounds contradictory, but I guess the polarizing effects of the glasses cuts glare which makes the visual field brighter. When the tint on my designer glasses got scratched, I was pretty upset. If this happens with the Flying Fisherman, I will just purchase another. You can't beat the price. I realize that everyone has different head size/facial contours, so the glasses may not fit as well on someone else. I think they are made to fit most heads comfortably, but if your head is extra large or extra small, you may want to purchase from a source where you can try it on before you buy. The lens on these glasses are narrower top to bottom than most of the others so if you want maximum coverage you might want to choose a different design. The black rim keeps the lens from contacting your face, making it less likely to fog. These Flying Fisherman glasses are GREAT!
