If you are like many of us, one day arrives and you have a family member in a wheelchair. Little things you never considered needing are now items you depend on for survival. This includes the family member and care takers, too.We have our second family member in a wheelchair. When my father was alive, he could not roll his wheelchair outside due to the door jam. Since he required 1:1 care, I never considered options were available to make his and my life easier. Several weeks ago, my brother is now in a wheelchair and he mentioned the door jam issue.As I want him to be as independent as he can, I set out looking for an indoor ramp with variety of heights. I came across this item and bought. I AM DO GLAD that I did!It’s wider than the door which is fine, it is level with the door jam and installation was the EASIEST! LITERALLY, just lay it down.My brother can get out of the house onto the back porch by himself … which resulted in another issue - needed a different ramp for the porch.

We recently had a wheelchair built off of our deck. We had the builder use Trex so it would be the same as the rest of our screen porch/open deck.We needed a transition piece at the start of the ramp. I found these on amazon and ordered 2. One for the part of the ramp outside and another for the smaller ramp built from our porch to the interior of the home.They work beautifully. They have substance to them and have not moved an inch since we put them down. The contractor who built our ramp took pictures of the product and ordering information as he was also quite impressed with them.I highly recommend this product.

This is the piece that will enable the traveler to raise that one critical inch before landing on a platform with a hard lip that can make for a difficult transition. It goes right before the lip and takes the traveler from Ground Level, let's say, to Above Ground Level and avoids the larger transition. I like the material it's made from. Coming out of the shipping box I could smell the Quality. It's not made out of cheese. The only item I would have liked to be a part of the purchase was installation directions, recommending Tools, Materials and How to Prepare the Equipment.

I recently moved in to my new home and a couple of my favorite things are my four season heated porch and my Shark Robot Vacuum. I leave the sliders open all the time, but my vacuum was not able to get over the tracks. Problem solved! They do have a smell to them, but I am hoping that it will fade out.
