Such a joy to read
One of my top favorite children's book. It was an immediate hit especially when Trixie is frantically babbling. Thank you for another wonderful book!

The. Best.
Our favorite toddler book of all time, now in an "indestructible" board book. What's not to like?

Great for any children’s library
One of our favorite books to read before bed. This will be one that I pass down to my kids when they are older.

Most favorite book ever
As a reading specialist I loved this book more than any on the market. I loved the board book version for my toddler grandson who tends to be hard on things. i am excited to pass this love of this book on to him. i bought the Knuffle Bunny character to go with him.He is so soft.

My toddler loves it
This a cute little book for young children. The book always makes my daughter laugh during the "Abbba Flabba Klappa" part. It is a quick read usually finished in 5 minutes or so. I really enjoyed how the author used drawings of the people but real backgrounds of everyday life. The central idea in the book was trying to explain how the child is trying to tell the parent something but could not say it. Anyone who has ever had a child go "boneless" knows exactly what the author was trying to convene to the reader. The mannerisms of the characters are spot on, for instance when the dad gets Trixie home and he is scowling and upset after having had her scream and fuss several blocks to get home. Or the part when the dad rolls up his sleeves to get serious to find Knuffle Bunny is charming. Simple things like that which you can explain to your young reader that is not in the text. You can easily elaborate on the people they pass in the park or near the school and why people go to Laundromats. I also really enjoyed the scared look on Trixie's face when the dad is not having much luck finding Knuffle Bunny. This is the 1st book in the series and we have also read the 3rd book Unexpected Diversion. My daughter has liked them both. So I would recommend this book to other parents trying to get their children into reading.

I Can't Wait To Read This Book To My New Granddaughter!
KNUFFLE BUNNY received the CALDECOTT HONOR award for 2004. The Caldecott Medal "shall be awarded to the artist of the most distinguished American Picture Book for Children published in the United States during the preceding year. The award shall go to the artist, who must be a citizen or resident of the United States, whether or not he or she is the author of the text." The runner-up of the Caldecott Award is called the 'Caldecott Honor Award.' So right away we know the pictures and the story are superior to most other children's books. And I can attest to the fact that this is one of the best I've seen for babies and toddlers. I know that this book is geared towards the preschool to first grade group but the pictures and text are very elementary so I imagine even little ones can identify with this story.I don't care if my new granddaughter will only be two days old when I see her~~I plan to read this precious book to her. Trixie is a baby who is not yet talking--she appears to be barely walking. She goes to the laundromat with her daddy (in New York City) and leaves behind her beloved stuffed bunny~~Knuffle Bunny! The distraught child can't verbalize why she is so upset, therefore she cries and uses body language to try to convey her feelings to her dad. This is a book that will be read and re-read to your baby. Plus, it has a happy ending so children will love it as will their parents (and grandparents), who will love reading it to their little ones!
