Very useful
As a trim carpenter I use these almost every day. I believe that these are one of the best ways to hold the outside corners of trim while installing. They do leave a small hole behind, however in most cases this is smaller then the hole left by the nails. I have other carpenters ask me on a regular basis where I got these after they see how well they work for the job. I have even had painters that liked them because using these and glue on an outside corner no nails are required to keep the corner tight. Just leave the clamp on long enough for the glue to set and you will get a perfect miter. For that reason i recommend the 12 pack because you can leave the clamps on your corners while continuing to work on other corners. You can use these by hand but it is a bit difficult. I highly recommend buying the Collins Tool Miter Spring Clamp Pliers, they make these clamps alot easier to work with and you can get more tension on the corner which will give you a better finished product

Excellent Tool for Mitered Corners
These clamps are a game changer if you create miters. Using the supplied spreader pliers, open them and apply the to your corners. They’re made of strong spring steel with sharp points, so they will leave small dents, but they’re easily sanded out. Just finished making a small jewelry box and these worked great keeping all the mitered corners tight.

Great quality and tremendously speeds up installing outside corners with trim.
These are a must have for assembling outside corners. They apply a lot of good clamping pressure till your glue sets up. They also tremendously speed up alignment of your joint. More notably with crown molding these clamps will hold your outside corners right where they need to be until you can nail off your crown. I also use these two pre-assemble crown molding on a table before installing on cabinetry. These will save you a lot of time and joints will come out crisper with less nail holes.

Good clamp
These are pretty good miter clamps. They have adequate tension and just adequate points. I have an old old set that are like needles while these are like a pencil point after a signature or two. They’ll bite but on a hard smooth surface they skid a bit. They are much better than my last set which I’ve stopped using.

buy them. buy more. cant have enough
LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE. I do new construction finish carpentry and these are a godsend for production trimming. i still biscuit my miters, slapping these on with some glue and a biscuit, done deal. I always hated having to squeeze and shoot a brad to hold my miters. this solves it. now i have like 100 of these haha. could use a touch more force but for door and window casing they're great.

One of my top tools
This is one of my favorite tool purchases ever. As an amateur, I would get really frustrated trying to do miter joints. They would always slip when I tried to nail them, and no matter how hard I tried, nothing in my repertoire of clamps would squeeze it just right to make the joint tight. Screw-type corner clamps are a pain and don't work on everything. These little guys work fantastic; they make the joint tight, they allow a little adjustment once it's clamped, and they're easy to take on and off. They do leave a small hole, with the size depending on what type of wood you're using. It is much smaller than a nail hole and I have never had any issues with it. The pliers are a great addition and well worth the money also.

good clamps for special applications
I've just started using these spring clamps. They are very handy for holding wood pieces together when the following conditions exist: (a) a small dent in the material is acceptable. (b) large clamping depth is not required (e.g., ~3/4" or less), (c) clamping jaw size is <=2". these come in especially handy when small pieces are involved as you can get the spring clamp jaws into tight places. If you can put up with the dented wood, these clamps used with the Collins pliers make a pretty efficient clamping system within their design limits. I should note that there several competitors (Rockler, Fulton, etc.) which I have never used, so you have several similar spring clamping systems to choose from.
