INTIMINA Lily Cup Compact - Small Flat-Fold Menstrual Cup, Reusable, Size B

I usually do not write reviews, but for this purchase, i debated on buying one and trying it for over a year. I feel like I need to for other people on the fence, or genuinely curious. Let me start by saying this is tricky to use, so you're almost guaranteed a mess on the first few tries. I watched a tutorial from Intima, and one on youtube from Put A Cup In It. The second more helpful and visual for getting it in there. My first try using it was on day 1, and it made a HUGE mess. Somehow when I inserted it, it collapsed, so no blood was caught in the cup. Totally user error though. Thankfully, I followed advice and wore a liner anyway since it was a first try so it wasn't a big deal, just messy to remove. The other times already, I got it in perfectly. I realize you have to check with your finger that it's not collapsed after you put it in by swiping around the bottom end of it and feeling for the top rim, if you can reach it. Once I got the hang of it, it worked flawlessly. For me, there is no mess to remove, and drain. If it's in correctly, and you're not leaving it in there so long it fills all the way up, nothing will spill. Besides, my own vaginal juices, no blood gets on my fingers when I remove it to empty. If you're like me and you panic about it getting stuck up there, no worries. Just bear down while pulling it gently down. It was easier to remove then get in. Even when I put it in wrong. For removing/cleaning I did so every 8-12 hours, depending on access to private bathrooms. I prefer to remove and clean it completely. So normally, I take it out to drain, rinse it first, then soak it in mild soap and hot water while I'm showering, then clean it off, so it's ready and clean to be reinserted. But there are days when you might need to empty outside of the home (ex work, or school) or if your flow is heavy, you have to empty it so it doesn't overflow. After my cycle ends, I set it in boiling water to disinfect, and store for my next cycle. You also do not feel a thing while it is inserted. And I mean nothing! So if you do, you most likely have it in wrong, or you are wearing the incorrect size. If you know you have a heavy flow, do yourself a favor and get a bigger size cup, and plan to empty it maybe every 2-6 hours or whatever. The collapsible one I'm told is smaller than the standard cups. You know your body. I expected the cup to fill more than it did with my 12 hour change, and when I removed it on day 1, it was just below the first level at the bottom. I should mention that I have a light cycle (lasts 2-3.5 days) and no cramping (I know, it's a blessing), but I have had a child. I was unsure if I should go with a B or A. I went with B, but based on the amount that gets in the cup, I could have gotten away with an A, I think. I love the fact that it has a case it comes with so you can carry it around, and when you need it, it'll be clean and ready for you in your purse. buttttttt, the case hinge is incredibly thin and I can see it breaking soon, especially if I'm not careful. IF ANYONE FROM INTIMA IS READING THIS, MAYBE GO FOR A REDESIGNED CASE THAT SCREWS OPEN LIKE A BOTTLE CAP? That just makes more sense to me since you risk it flipping open in your bag if it's jostled around a lot. Most of the reviews are accurate here, from my experience, so if you are reading this and on the fence like I was, my advice is to buy it and see for yourself. You might be pleasantly surprised, like I was! Just consider the material of whatever cup you get. This one had no sharp edges, and was incredibly soft. I'm only giving it 4 starts because of the case, but the concept, design, material, price and convenience is worth a purchase. I hope this review helped someone decide, like others helped me. Definitely worth giving a try! It’s a great alternative to pads and tampons that are so expensive and disposable even uncomfortable at times. I also love how compact it is and comes with a little carry case to store and take on the go.

I LOVE this cup more than any of the other cups I have tried. Note, I have never tried a disk. It is much more comfortable than period panties as well (I've tried multiple brands as well as reusable pads/liners). Also note: I have had a baby, but my flow is light. It folds up easily, cleans easily and comes with a storage case. The only thing I would change: The teen version (got it in a pinch once when I needed a backup) has a small ring on it, which I think is helpful--even for adults who are experienced cup users. If you've never used a cup---know it comes out. It scared me the first time too!

Because I have a low cervix, I think that the Intima Lily Cup Compact (Collapsible) personally fits me better than the Diva Cup which easily seemed to fall down with the slightest strain. I had to frequently shove the Diva Cup back up, which was very annoying and uncomfortable. When I first inserted the Intima Lily Cup Compact (collapsible), the cup immediately traveled upward via terrific suction. I could strain to pee and the cup did not fall down like with the Diva Cup. Unfortunately, this same terrific suction made the Intima Lily Cup Compact extremely difficult to remove compared to the Diva Cup. Always bear down (like you are pooping) in order to drop the cup down for easier access. Breaking the seal by squeezing the bottom of the cup did not work on the Intima Lily Cup Compact. I had to shove my fingers practically to the top of the cup in order to get the seal to break and pull the cup out (Hence, minus 1 star). I would definitely NOT recommend trying the Intima Lily Cup Compact as the first menstrual cup to try using because it would probably freak women out if they have trouble removing the cup. Also, because this cup is smaller, this is not recommended for heavy menstrual flow (unless you are willing to insert and remove this cup frequently). Since I have medium flow and a low cervix, I prefer the Intima Lily Cup Compact Collapsible to the Diva Cup due to the issue that I mentioned above about the Diva Cup falling down all the time. Plus, it's collapsible with a very discreet case that can fit easily into my purse or pocket. With both menstrual cups, there are sometimes leakage (just like with tampons). So, I wear a pantiliner just in case. All menstrual cups are messy (ie. bloody fingers during removal and dumping of fluids out of your menstrual cup), and I personally would only use menstrual cups if I have access to a private bathroom with sink (ie. not porta-potties). But, I can wear a menstrual cup longer than tampons because I don't have to worry as much about getting bacterial infections from not changing out tampons frequent enough.

This is a great product and I’m mad I took so long to switch! I’ve always used tampons until I gave birth, then I liked to use pads because I felt better about monitoring my flow and its consistency. I read the advice of insert methods and finally gave it a shot. It was way easier to insert than I thought it was going to be. Retrieval was similarly easy. Sometimes I don’t achieve the complete seal, but that results in a little spotting that tells me I need to adjust, not like a crazy deluge that ruins panties. I’m seriously ashamed I used disposable menstrual products up to this point. This will save me a lot of money, better for my health and the environment!

I got this thinking it would save me money on feminine products, but I am a heavy bleeder, apparently too heavy for even the large size cone to handle. I did purchase the menstrual undies to go along with the lily cup, I do still have issues inserting the cup and making it form to my body where there is no leakage. No going back now! I either better learn to use the lily cup or throw it away.

Best thing I've ever owned when it comes to that time of the month! I've hated tampons and pads feel like wearing diapers! Within the first 2 months this thing paid for itself since I didn't need to buy anymore tampons each month! It takes a little getting used to figuring out which way to insert works for you, but once your comfortable with putting it in its a breeze! Never had a single leak and I've owned it for almost a year now. I love the collapsibility too, easy to stuff in a purse or pocket (or bra lol) for when your anticipating your cycle.

Love this! I chose this one after carefully reading lots of reviews and watching youtube video reviews. I have just finished my second cycle using this and am so happy I started using this. The first two days I had some pain, but then I figured out I wasn't putting it in at the correct angle. It is supposed to be pointed towards your tailbone. Once I figured that out I had no problems. I can't really tell it's in. It's easy to insert and to get out. I'll be honest it was somewhat awkward to start with...but once you get over it, really it's not a big deal. I did cut the tip off because I could feel it hanging out. No leaking and I found I was emptying it more than I really needed to at first since I wasn't really sure how much it would hold. I have a light first day, very heavy second and third then light for three more days. Even on the heavy days I'm not leaking or even coming close to filling it up all the way. I have to say that I am actually a little mad that nobody told me about menstrual cups sooner! I am 35 and found them for the first time when I was looking for tampons on here to put on subscribe and save. I never even knew that you could buy 'chlorine free' tampons until I searched on Amazon. Menstrual cups just happened to come up in with the search.

I’ve been using another brand’s menstrual cup and what intrigued me about this one was how compact it can be when stored. I had a few issues with this product. 1) depending how you insert the cup, it might collapse inside your vjayjay 2) its leaking. Less than 1 hour into using it, it started leaking. So messy.

Davvero ottima per chi cerca una coppetta morbida e che sia discreta da portare in viaggio. Ovviamente non ha una grande capienza ma la trovo perfetta per cicli non abbondanti o per chi come me la usa per gli ultimi giorni o portarla dietro per i viaggi!

Va muy bien, es el segundo que compro. El otro lo compré hace años y se me rompió la cajita y la copa a pesar de seguir bien, la reemplazo. Las tallas son correctas, la B para quienes hemos parido. La copa es lo mejor de todas las opciones, hay que aprender a usarla para no tener fugas inoportunas, sin la sequedad y el despilfarro de tampones. Reutilizable y muy cómoda

Ho deciso di provare la coppetta per la prima volta e ho acquistato la lily cup classic e la lily cup compact. Che dire, sono veramente contenta dell'acquisto, sono morbide, comodissime e soprattutto non si sentono per nulla! Io ho tagliato completamente i gambi ma questo varia da donna a donna. Ognuna ha la sua fisicità quindi scegliete con cura la vostra coppetta. La compact è adatta a flussi leggeri/medi e ad ogni tipo di cervice, per il flusso abbondante consiglio la lily cup classica(se avete una cervice alta). Sono abbastanza semplici da inserire e sfilare. La coppetta è veramente una svolta ragazze, provatela!
