Works hard, so you don't have to.
I bought two of these bad boys so my wife and I could more freely enjoy our work from home days. Plugs right into a standard USB port (we opted NOT to use the USB ports on our computers, and plugged straight into the wall) and has a Micro USB going into the device itself. I would say, the cord it comes with *could* be a bit longer, however we had open outlets real close so didn't pose an issue for us when we set them up. Which was super simple to do by the way, just plug both sides of the cord and you're done. The power button has a nice white glowing ring around it when it's turned on, which I found to be helpful while walking past my office and wondering if I had remembered to activate it before stepping away. I think the only actual drawback I found was the button itself isn't super easy to press in. What I mean by that is it's kindof a deep press... and because the unit itself is so light (lighter overall than a deck of cards) it tends to squirm away as you try and push the button. A small inconvenience to need to use two hands to activate it (unless you adhere it to your desk or perhaps put something behind it to brace it) but worth mentioning. Not a big enough problem to cost it a star though. It does make a small amount of noise when it's on, honestly lower than a whisper, but in a quiet office or room it is audible. That being said, the purpose of these is to *not* be in the room, so don't let that change your mind. I will update this review if any issues or reliability problems come up, but I sincerely doubt they will. Hope this helps those of you who are interested in getting the most out of your remote work opportunities!!

Exactly as advertised...
"You have to watch this 4 hours of training online." <computer goes to sleep every 5 minutes>"Why weren't you at your computer? It says you were away 20 minutes." "I get a lunch you know!"If this or any similar Big Brother-ish stuff is happening to you, then this product is your cure. So, this isn't really a high-tech device. It's not a multi-function gizmo with a Swiss Army portfolio of uses, but a product that's built to do just one thing and do it reliably: keep your computer awake. Thankfully, it does exactly that, and it does it without software running that your IT department will flag as "unauthorized."This thing is just incredibly simple to use and effective. The base is built solidly, with a non-skid rubber bottom so it won't slide around on your desk. There's a white LED ring around the power switch so you know when it's on. Just plug it in, turn it on, and set the mouse on top. It's the right size so any average mouse will sit on it properly, with the mechanical wheel placed under the sensor. Voila! Instant relief from the dreaded eyes in the sky.

Great; works with timer
I hooked this up to an outlet timer and it turns on and off at a set time automatically now. I was afraid it wouldn't work with a timer, like it would need to be turned on manually again, but no issues doing it like this.Only thing I kinda didn't like is I had to spend a good 45 minutes placing the mouse JUST right on the track so it only moves like 11 pixels worth so I can use my other mouse while the jiggler mouse cursor is still moving a teensy smidge without it being too much of an interference with my actual work mouse/cursor.I had to tape the mouse in place on the jiggler and then put the jiggler in the foam box to reduce noise (it's not terrible, but you can hear it if you are alert to it). I wish it had adjustable movement or easier ways to self-adjust, but a minor inconvenience for peace of mind. Turn on a video to play in a constant loop to prevent the computer from going to sleep overnight and then the mouse jiggler gets you off of idle in the morning.Side note: You can also leave a video playing on "overlay" mode on your phone to keep it from idling off in case your company has policies in place forcing your phone to lock after 1 minute which is just obnoxious. Obviously, don't do this when you are outside of your house, you don't want to risk your phone getting lost/stolen. This will prevent you from looking idle there, too.
