Awesome Product, File is in Packaging!
Just got this blade this morning. A couple of things that I want to mention. First, I thought that we had been shorted the file as a number of others have mentioned. But then I noticed something metallic inside of the hinge of the package. Opened the plastic clamshell package further and there was the file, hidden inside the hinge. So it would be easy to miss if you didn’t look for it.Second, we have an Echo SRW 2501, a combination string trimmer and brush blade tool. As we measured it, the part onto which the blade would mount was 3/4”. But the blade arbor is 1”. So I also purchased an assortment of bushings to fill in the gap. Much to my surprise, the bushing that we needed to mount the blade to our Echo trimmer was right there in the package. Don’t think that it was mentioned anywhere in the description, but there it was. It allowed us to mount the blade solidly onto our trimmer. Will return the bushings that I purchased. As for the blade itself, my hubby has used it for only a short time, (too hot/humid to work out there today) but suffice it to say he was totally impressed. Was using it in overgrown areas with mostly grass, weeds and young buckthorn saplings. This blade cut through all this with ease. So no opinion yet on long term use, but seems very well made and can easily be sharpened when needed. What more could you ask for.One puzzling thing is the front of the package calls it a “9” Saw Chain Grass Blade”.The picture on the front of the package is all grass, like a lawn. On the back of the package, under the heading of “Warning!”, the second bullet point says “Blade is for cutting grass.” Then it says “Ideal for all brush cutting situations”. Why would you buy a blade with chainsaw teeth to just cut grass? The word “brush” implies small shrubs, small saplings, mixed weeds in with grass. It seems to me that the company wants to have both ways in case someone is injured cutting anything more than grass.Anyhow, after using it for only a short time, this blade seems awesome!

Trail Clearing Made Easy
This is the ticket for maintaining trails that are inaccessible with a tractor/bushhog. This blade will save your back from bending down and hand clipping or using a chainsaw to nip off small saplings and briars. Definitely makes quick work of the process. Just be sure to order one of the universal washer and lock nut kits because trying to find a left hand threaded nut was impossible from any local hardware stores.

Life Changing!
These blades are amazing and you don't need an especially powerful weed eater to use them. No matter what size weed eater you have it will take them a few seconds to spool up to full speed but once at speed they cut 3+ inch saplings, vines, etc. with amazing speed provided the teeth are sharp. I just ordered my second set of two blades and, based on my first two, it seems like you get the initial run plus two resharpenings with the included file before you need to replace them. That's not to say they dull quickly, they actually cut an amazing amount of brush before they need sharpened. The trick to keeping them sharp is just like a chainsaw, don't touch even a hint of dirt and they will stay amazingly sharp for a long time. Touch just a tiny bit of dirt and they dull instantly just like a chainsaw which should come as no surprise since the cutters are the same. Be forewarned you may need to remove or modify the guard on your weed eater head which isn't hard but kind of a nuisance but worth every minute of your time IMO. My only gripe about these cutters is that they're made in China.

Works great
I used it clearing a path and cutting small trees down in the process. It worked great, and was easy to use with the weedeater I had. I bought one for the purpose of putting a blade on there. You will need to learn how to sharpen it, which isn’t too bad I noticed it needed to be sharpened about every tank of gas.

Sharp blade that gets the job done, but lacking durability
I have read reviews of this product, other simlilar products and Stihl branded products. I personally haven't tried the other similar products at this time but it is in my budget and on my agenda to do so in the very near future.First of all, I installed the blade on a Stihl FS90R with a fresh tune up, running ethanol free gas (just so you know what I'm not working with an underpowered machine) I bought 6+ acres of land that i'm looking to clear a bunch of scattered small (2-4" diameter) trees. maybe 100-200 trees total.First of all, the direction arrows on the blade I received were pointed in the wrong direction. Looking at the cutting teeth one SHOULD easily be able to figure out which was to install it....The first impression of this blade besides the direction arrows are wrong is that it is a sharp meaty blade. After cranking it up and doing a test run at my house is that this thing cuts easily; now on to the real stuff. When brand new, the blade cuts like a beast, easily slicing through what i imagine to be 2-3" diameter trees like a knife through hot butter, but as time goes on, and numerous trees are cut, more time is required to cut through these trees. Still, it cuts through trees 1-2 inches with ease and now the 2-3" diameter stuff takes a few stabs to get it cut. After the first tank (maybe 45minutes to 1 hour), i resharpened the blade. This was done with the included file.My second day on my tree cutting adventure yielded more trees which were cut easily, but not like it did when it was new. I have even cut trees 4-5" in diameter with this thing (the limiting factor being the hardware in the way). However, after approximately 2 hours of use, and a repeated resharpening, I have noticed 6 of 20 teeth are broken or damaged on this beast. This is a nice product if you don't need to use it long term or won't be too aggressive with it, but I haven't been wowed like I imagined. If you're cutting lots of trees, or trying to get close to the ground, or need to cut for long periods of time, I'd probably buy a backup blade.Personally, I'm going to try a different blade and won't be buying another at this time. Maybe I just have unrealistic expectations of this blade. However, for $16 and getting as many trees cut as I did, I can't complain.
