Squirrel like to chew them.
Tried using the water spikes on a potted plant because I was going out of town for 5 days. When I returned from my trip, no water had been dispensed. Yes, I calibrated them and followed all the instructions carefully. They just didn't seem to work.

Could be better
Takes a lot of fine tuning to get these to work . I put in 4 of these and only one watered my plant . The other ones did not work . The water either ran out in a day or did not work at all.

It needs a bit of modification
The bottles in their picture is too heavy and tips over. The spike is not long enough sometimes the drip sinks the soil as well.

I really hoped it worked...but sadly no.
Getting it to drip at the required rate is a little bit challenging, and when you do get it at the rate you need, it sometimes (most of the times) will not keep that drip rate. The bottles are not required to be cut at the top which is good and allows for resuse of discarded bottles.

WORKS AS DESCRIBED
Not what I was looking for but they work fine.

Does not hold a big bottle
Does not hold a big bottle like what is in photo. It leans over to much weight

Inconsistent quality
Only a few of these valves worked to control the water flow. Tested them before a vacation and some plants received the entire bottle of water in an hour and others received nothing.
