MARENA LGS Stage 1 Women's Short Length High-Waist Girdle

Wow what a difference. I was sent home with a binder for hips and flanks after fat grafting surgery. It was horrible. I have heard that marena is an awesome product from my Dr and nurses . It took a little work to get this stage 1 on. But we'll worth it. It has taken away allot of the pain. It is made of soft material. Has eye hook inner closure with zipper over top. Open crotch to the bum for toileting. Its very comfortable and breathable. The size chart is spot on. The waist band does not roll. The only issue i have, as with anything that sits on thigh, is the thigh rolls up a bit. Im willing to live with that due to the comfort this garment provides. Buy it dont compromise on cheaper quality. When im ready for stage 2 I guarantee I will be buying from Marena.

Huge, massive improvement from all others. I had an extended tummy tuck and the Faja sold to me at the doctors office for $150 is so tight in the thighs I cannot pull it up. I do not have big thighs, in fact they are pretty skinny. Anyhow, I had my binder and another binder I bought on Amazon which was just okay, but the seams dug into my skin. The other fajas did not provide enough support or were too tight in the thighs. I’ve been barely sleeping and uncomfortable 24/7. Then, I decided to try this. I bought the xl and normally wore a large or 14 before my surgery three weeks ago. I’m still quite swollen and my belly button is raw, and tons of pain and tightness at my incision site- I still can’t stand up straight and my stomach muscles must have been sewn up super wickedly tight. My husband helped me put it on because he’s wonderful, the sides open completely so there is no tugging or pulling on the incisions that reach all the way on each side due to my tummy tuck being extended. There are some but not a million hook and eye closures, zippers on top of that, and a smooth flat front with no pressure on my tender bellybutton. It’s tight but not stiflingly so and I feel wonderful compression for the first time since my surgery three weeks ago. I plan on wearing this for at least a month, maybe two, and then switching to the stage two version of this, perhaps with strap extenders as I read that is it’s only flaw. Please do not hesitate to buy this if you had a tummy tuck, especially an extended one. Don’t bother buying the one from your doctor unless it is this one! Worth the money hands down. I’m 5’7” and pre surgery I weighed 185, I bought XL. The thighs are not tight. It stays up right under my bra line and might be too long for short torso folks. Large open for pottying purposes. I hope this helps anyone the fence.

Just had a medical procedure that requires compression for several weeks. Wanted a spare from what was given in hospital, the size quide was wayyyyy off and winged it with going by my normal size as well as what I was given. Fit perfect. But the guide had me all over the place. Pros: hole to go potty, Cons: does not unzip all the way down which makes it a little painful pulling on and the zipper stop is a little pinching inside. Overall a good alternate.

This is what every person needs after surgery. I fully intend to use it under any and all formal gowns in the future too. I’m still having non garment related post operative complications and if it wasn’t for this garment I would have be having more. It doesn’t cut into me even with swelling from my wound dehiscence. It’s easier to keep everything dry and clean. No infections, frequent fluid draining, dressing changes. Garment is soft and doesn’t scratch sensitive skin. Doesn’t reduce blood flow to my lower extremities. Washes well, I hang dry. It’s been 3 months of every day use switching between 2 pairs and both are in great shape, no loss of compression or seam issues. It’s worth every penny and more. About to buy a different color for spring colors. No one can tell I’m wearing anything or had surgery. It’s that sleek. Yes I tried others that were cheaper and it hurt pulling them up or the rubberized stays cut into me. Basically wasted money when I already had my first one from my surgeon. Get more than one. Be consistent.

This is a fabulous product but you just can't get it in a timely manner. I have ordered it twice and it gets lost in transit. Since this has happened to multiple people I have to assume it is a supplier issue.

Before update: 5’7” waist currently 40” hips 46” size xxl (perfect fit, use the size chart!) Very well made, lots of compression so I know my surgeon will approve, easy to put on. Can’t say enough good things. For context, I had an extended abdominoplasty. This is a HUGE relief compared to the wrap aka “torture device” that was given to me by my surgeon post op that had to be constantly re-adjusted with seams that dug into me, messed with my drain sites, and pulled on my suture line. This garment is a godsend in comparison and provides the same way better more full coverage compression much more evenly and ALL OVER instead of the wrap given by the doctor. Love it and grateful for its affordable price for how well-made of a product this is! UPDATE: after weeks of wearing it daily while healing, a really noticeable difference in even healing and swelling receding. I wash it every two days, goes right in the dryer fine, and so far no signs of wear and tear. So well made, super durable. In fact I’m going to order the next size down since I’ve gotten a bit smaller. Update at 8 weeks since surgery: still using the same garment, washing every other day. it’s still strong, and no one can see it under my clothes/tight pants (I can wear real clothes now!). I’m extremely happy with the results of how well I’m healing evenly and my entire midsection is compressing down as it heals. My measurements have gone down enough so that I may buy the next size down to see if that will fit since I’ll be wearing it at least another 8 weeks. UPDATE!!! I have ordered the regular XL now (next size down from what I began with) after 9 weeks of healing, my measurements were a bit smaller and I felt I needed more compression to keep the progress going. Fits perfectly, just as sturdy and again SO WORTH IT! If you have had abdominoplasty it’s my opinion that nothing else could work better than this garment, and it has been essential to maximizing the results of my surgeon’s good work. I will continue wearinf this for at least a cpl more months, until I feel 100% healed. I’m now using silicone strips on my scars we well. I don’t think I’ve ever done updates on my reviews but I’m so impressed with this garment and I think it will help people to know this.

This item stays up but tends to get wavy along both sides where the zippers are. For a post-op garment, the waves are uncomfortable and not smoothing. I am tall and so I don’t think it is a short torso issue. I also don’t enjoy the open crotch. It makes it necessary to wear oanties over the garment. I will buy other garments that have a zipper up the front, and a crotch that can open and close with hook/loops.

This is a very useful product after the first 2-4 weeks post-surgery. As opposed to the version of this item that has hook and eye/zipper closures on each side, this is smoother and more comfortable against the sides of the hips and thighs. I now despise the old version and use this one exclusively. Now that I am back to work and swelling at the end of the day is increased, the old zippered version caused discomfort where the seams hit my skin. I ordered two of these so I had one to change into each day while one was in the wash. I would not recommend this version to anyone too soon after a procedure as it can be difficult to pull up over incisions and sensitive skin. (Tip: pull the back side up first over your butt then work the front/sides in.) Lastly - use the size chart! It will not match your actual clothing size, but it will fit properly and do its job - which is to compress the area and give it support to reduce swelling and develop the proper shape post-surgery.

I bought these and it’s extremely uncomfortable and its not easy to use
