Metro 16 16-inch x 8-inch Pedalboard with Soft Case

Metro 16 is a great pedalboard. The soft case is better than I expected it to be, though even still I would like to see heavier denier canvas and YKK zippers covering my expensive gear. The board itself is super solid, hard welded together with clean welds, and solid powdercoating including down into the crevices. The supplied loop and hook fastening tape is great, and there is enough of it supplied for more than a full layout. The rubber feet are good, as are the screws holding the feet to the board; we'll see how many years it takes the rubber feet to start getting that gross rubber rot so common on music gear. Just about any power supply will fit underneath the Metro; I have a Cioks DC-7 installed and it fits great. On top of the board, you can fit 14 mini pedals (Ibanez Minis, Wampler Belle, MXR Duke of Tone, TC Flashback Mini3, etc) with wiggle room or 16 minis with very compact patch cables and two millimeters of overhang on every side. Overall I am very happy with the Metro16 board. Suggestion #1 - The middle rib underneath the board is a solid sheet of metal which totally divides the underspace into two separate hemispheres. It would be great if Pedatrain would cast or drill holes in the center rib or make an arched rib so that power and patch cables could run from north to south and vice versa. I myself drilled two holes through the center rib and they are okay for passing thinner cables through, but my holes are a mess and Pedaltrain could do it better if they wanted to. Suggestion #2 - The back row would be easier to step on footswitches if it were raised 1cm. I intend to strip my board, attach 1cm wooden slats to the back row, and re-apply hook-and-loop on top of the wooden slats.

Keep in mind, if you have a pedal addiction, you will outgrow this board quickly. I have a very simple setup, with a Boss tuner, Marshal 2-button pedal, and room for two more regular or maybe four micro/mini pedals. If you have several pedals, go bigger.

My second Pedaltrain product. I needed a small board and the Metro fit the bill, half the size of the Junior.

Really great size. I have a Nano too and needed a little more space but the Nano+ is too oblong and the Mini is pretty pointless since it doesn't have a true third row. This one isn't tall enough to fit two 1590B's stacked but if you're good at pedal tetris and have low profile cables (I like the EBS flat cables sold elsewhere) you can fit a ton of stuff on here and get many awesome sounds. Across the short side it can take a 1590bb sideways with a 1590b with side jacks above it or two 1590B's with side jacks turned sideways and a 1590A turned sideways. Takes two rolls of Powergrip/Dual Lock velcro to load it out fully. The underside is structured such that there is a channel the same width as on the two boards. A CIOKS DC5 mounts perfectly underneath with the bolt mounting and if you offset it so that the IEC cable stress relief is inside the channel it clears the floor with the stock feet. The soft case is acceptable quality. More padding than the old Nano bag but not bulky. One thing I miss from the Nano is the quick release adjustable straps that allow you to attach it to your gig bag. Loaded it out fully with pedals and onboard power supply the weight is still fine without needing to use a shoulder strap. I'm going to order some of those straps and either put them through the shoulder strap rings or sew them on.

I have several pedaltrain pedals, NOVO 24, a few of the nano line and now a few of the metro line. I love the stability of the metro format, and with the wider (or deeper depending on how you measure it), when in the case, you can store an iPad in the case (which I used for sheet music). I always mount a one spot power brick under it. Any of the Metro line is ideal!

This case/board saved me! I like everything about it. The way it looks, its size, everything! For now I put on 6 pedals and I even have enough room for a Minirig 3 speaker (that I Velcroed on to it as well) which is my main amp for my electric guitar. Don't change a thing. This is perfect.

コンパクトで使いやすいです。付属品のマジックテープも問題なく使えています。普通に使うのならこのサイズのボードだとこれ一択だと思います。ただ難点があるとすればパワーサプライの高さによっては裏に固定するのは少し厳しいものもあるかも。

Good quality pedalboard as expected from Pedaltrain. It also comes with the newer deluxe upgraded soft case bag. I’m pleased with the purchase.

I bought mine to house my drum module, mini mixer, tactile transducer amp and slimline power supply. All the items mentioned easily mounted to the included and very lightweight rack using the wide Velcro with very strong adhesive. Smart cary case protects everything nicely whilst giving you a small footprint solution. Quality materials that feels good. Great value for money. I’ve used imitations prior to this with limited success. I should have bought this at the beginning of my quest and saved myself some hassle… and money.
