Nespresso Gran Lattissima Original Espresso Machine with Milk Frother by De'Longhi, Fresh White

We purchased our first of two Gran Lattissmo Expresso machines by De’longhi. Absolutely loved it. BUT——yes a BIG BUT—because within one week the frother ceased to work. It spit hot water at us with every attempt, but just water, no milk. We contacted Nesspresso and participated in troubleshooting using Face time on my iPad with an Nesspresso employee watching the machine do a great job spitting water. We reset the factory settings, took the frother apart, as well as a few other-interventions. Nothing worked. So a new frother was sent to us which took several days to arrive. While waiting for it, I had to drag out an old Keurig machine which I was grateful I still had so we could have our morning coffee. I was so hopeful upon the arrival of the new frother, but it performed identically spitting hot water and no milk. So called Nesspresso AGAIN and AGAIN had a very helpful person at Nesspresso walk me through the identical procedures as the first time with no success. . At that point, the faulty machine was boxed up and returned to Amazon for an exchange. New—number two machine arrived. I thoroughly read the manual again, but I also called Nesspresso once more to ask some questions which the manual did not address. I was told to use milk of a high quality which means high in protein. Whole milk, 2%, and skim milk can all be used. The higher the protein, the better the froth. I was using whole milk with 8g of protein. I now have whole milk and 2% milk with 12g of protein which is higher quality. Also, it is important to remove the top of the frother , before placing the frother in the fridge with milk still remaining in it. The frother mechanism should be cleaned frequently by completely disassembling it and soaking all the parts in warm soapy water for 30 minutes. Then, put the parts in the dishwasher on the top rack after soaking. Milk particles can become dry and stuck inside the frother mechanism which will cause the frother, in time, to malfunction . Thoroughly cleaning these parts and using high protein milk, will hopefully keep things working as they should. Also, if you notice milk residue sticking to the sides of the milk container, that is a sign that it may be smart to discard the milk and fill it with fresh milk. The machine is very easy to use and the extra maintenance is worth it. Time will tell if this machine continues to make great frothy coffee. Can’t say enough about the excellent quality of the coffee drinks this machine produces. That is why I am willing to try this again. The Nesspresso customer service is excellent, and so, for the most part, is Amazon. They made it very easy to return the defective machine to exchange for a new one. My husband says he use to drink coffee because it was warm and nice to have in the morning. Now we are drinking coffee a whole lot more because it tastes good. So far, I highly recommend this product, and hope it keeps up its great performance.

Love love this machine. It’s easy to use and the coffee is amazing! I make a macchiato every morning and they are delicious. I will say the maintenance is important. I clean the milk frother every time i use it and deep clean it every 3 days. When I don’t i find that the froth is not working properly . Also I mix a 50/50 ratio of creamer and reduced fat lactose free milk. This mix is perfect for getting a beautiful froth. If I only use creamer there is barely any froth, vs if I use only milk it’s perfect. This is super easy to maintain compared to the others on the market rn. I would definitely highly recommend for someone looking for an espresso machine with low maintenance and easy to use.

We were kind of worried about buying this since several people had complained about the milk frother not working right etc. But we took the risk (because thats who we are lol) and couldn't be happier. My only complain is that our coffee consumption has double because there are so many fun options to try. lol To those who complained about the frother, try this and see if it helps. After a week or so, it started not creating as thick of a froth, which made me freak out thinking "I knew we shouldn't have got this!" But then I took one of our thin straw brushes and cleaned all the pipes and parts of the milk compartment and... Wa-Laaaah.. went back to working as new. Ever since then every 3-4 days, I clean them thoroughly and have not had any complains. Another advise: after every drink, the machine suggests you use the cleanse function. Don't do that if you are planning to make multiple drinks. Every time you "cleanse," at the begging of making the next drink, some excess water comes out of the frother that will dilute your drink (not fun). Cleanse at the end before you put the milk compartment back in the fridge. Last advice: after you take the milk out of the fridge and before you start making your desired drinks, use a spare cup and hit one of the milk options (like hot foam or hot milk) and wait for few seconds. It will start heating up and then dispense hot water for a bit before it starts actually dispensing milk. As soon as it starts dispensing milk, hit the same button (hot foam or hot milk) and it will stop the process. This way, when you start making your desired drink, you will avoid that little excess water entering your amazing cappuccino or latte etc. I know some of you might not care, but this is for those who do. : ) Enjoy!

Absolutely love this machine, so easy to use, coffee tastes great. My favorite purchase in a long time. Update: 3 months in and my machine is not making the different recipes correctly, instead of frothing it just makes bubbles, coffee is warm and not hot, and through all the factory resets they had me do over the phone has become very loud. Sent in for repairs, letter says 3-5 business days. Guy that was setting up the repair never requested a loaner machine for me! I am stuck with all these pods drinking instant coffee. It will be the 6th business day tomorrow. I called for status and they just don’t have it. Manager told me that because of the guy not requesting a loaner for me and that they can’t at this point she will have the repair expedited. If it’s normally 3-5 business days and we are on day 6 and nobody knows what is going on as far as the status...what did the manager expedite exactly?! Another person on the phone told me it might be 3-5 business days or up to 3 weeks “so if you don’t receive it this way, you will probably get it the week after that” excuse me what?! How does “expedited” 3-5 days now turn into 3 weeks and no loaner machine?! I am furious, worse customer service ever, and a 3 month life for a machine is not good at all.

I bought both this and one of the more basic nespressos (with aerocino). Both were great, but the total simplicity of hitting "latte" and it doing All the work and the mixing is fantastic. The aerocino (sp?) does make a way stiffer foam (impressive really), I don't Care, I'm going to stir it anyway. With this, I take out the milk container front the fridge, hit my button, turn milk container to clean, put it back in fridge, drink my coffee. Ok, see what I did there? I forgot "add the pod to the machine". Yaaah, i do that a lot in making coffee too. and do check the water. Really, you have 4 total things to do (Put a cup under it). You'll likely Still mess it up sometimes too lol, but come ON, you have no one to blame but Yourself lol. Anyway. It's as easy as you can get, makes a great espresso or milk espresso drink. Edit: check in after a few months. Sill going string. Light is on to d'escale it so I'll do that today, but it's still working great.

This is a nice machine. Once you learn how to use it, you can easily make a latte or macchiato in minutes. It’s pretty low maintenance and cleaning it is a bit of a chore but they made it as simple as they could and I appreciate that. My only real complaint is obviously this won’t make true espresso. I knew that but I thought it would be close enough that I would at least stop dreaming about owning a $500+ machine. This machine makes a pretty good, and strong, cup of coffee but for the price I wish I would’ve just put the money toward another machine. For someone who enjoys the casual and occasional latte or macchiato, I think you’d be very happy with this machine.

I've had it for about two weeks and I absolutely love my Nespresso Lattissima Touch! I was on the fence for quite sometime because of the cost, but I honestly can't tell you how much money I've spent on drip coffee machines, various coffee beans, numerous creamers, and/or cold brew over the years to get something that tasted even remotely close to a coffee house drink. None of it was good enough that I actually wanted to drink coffee at home. Espresso machines are both expensive and complicated. Who has time for that in the morning? Not me. I considered getting a cheaper Nespresso machine, but wanted to have hot milk based drinks without the hassle of a separate milk frother. After the initial learning curve in which I made a couple drinks that were NOT good, I programmed the creamy latte setting to my exact specifications. Now, all I have to do is turn it on, grab the milk container out of the fridge, hook it up to the machine, insert capsule, push button, and perfect latte. Every time!!! Are you on the fence about buying this machine because of cost, but still go to a coffee house on the regular and/or much prefer espresso drinks than your at home drip coffee? Buy it! I've done the numbers and each latte I make averages $1.25 depending on how much syrup I add and the fluctuating cost of milk. I spent $5+ for a latte of this size at a coffee house. Overtime, this machine will literally pay for itself. I'm buying my capsules here on Amazon (there are subscribe and save options), which makes them a bit cheaper than Nespresso offers. I love my Nespresso Lattissima Touch so much that I look forward to getting up in the morning just to have my latte. At home. In my pjs! I also find myself looking forward to getting home ASAP to have another cup. Did I mention I drink coffee like a Gilmore? Pretty sure this thing would be Gilmore approved. Where have you been all my life, Nespresso Lattissima Touch? You're true perfection and I am so incredibly thankful I now have you in my life. Nothing like the perfect cup of hot, creamy, caffeinated bliss. Nothing.

So I made myself a promise that if I spent the money on this machine (it was on sale for $350 at the time) that I would stop going to Starbucks like I had been daily. Well I’ve already earned back my investment by officially ending that relationship. So since I’ve had it awhile here my take- Pros: EASY.EASY.EASY. Literally you just press one button And it’s quick. Takes like 15 seconds to heat up. The buttons have labels which say what you are making. It’s fool proof. The milk container can detach and go in your fridge reducing waste of milk. The pods are easy and mess free. The espresso tastes amazing. I want to note that I DESPISE keurig machines, I think the coffee made from those is awful. So for me to say these Nespresso pods make amazing coffee is not just an exaggeration. Cons: Nespresso pods are more costly than ground coffee (although it still calculates out somewhere between 70-80 cents per pod which is much cheaper than a Starbucks latte. You have to run the clean cycle for the frother after every use (so have an extra container handy to run it with). In order to keep your machine running smoothly you need to take all the milk frother pieces apart and thoroughly clean them with hot water and soap (they are also dishwasher safe). A few times after I’ve cleaned I didn’t dry properly and I noticed a little water from the tubing come out in my coffee. So if I don’t dry it enough I might run a quick foam button for a few seconds to make sure it’s coming out correctly. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend this machine to others. If you are on the fence and have a Nespresso store near you, go in and they will show you it in person, but if not, take my word for it! You will be happy!

Gives what u need, took some time to understand and manoeuvre between options to get desired blend of coffe, water and milk. Froth is always gr8 Finally like it as meets my needs

Nespresso coffee is superior coffee! Anyone who can drive a car, can work this compact, desk-top model. You are guaranteed to love it to pieces. Take it from me....a total coffee aficionado. Similar in looks to George Clooney, but brighter!

This coffee maker is excellent. Easy to use. The milk frother is by far the best I've seen. We now enjoy a superb cup of coffee every morning! Pleasantly surprised with the result of this purchase. I highly recommend it!
