I use this color palette most days because it’s simple, reliable, and works perfectly for my everyday makeup routine. COVERGIRL - Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Eyeshadow - Pure RomanceI had some hesitation after opening the package and finding such a difference in the shades I received (see photo) and the shades I thought I had ordered. But after scanning the bar code (and trying very hard to read the teeny tiny white printing on a pale pink background on the back) I have come to the conclusion that I did not, in fact, receive the wrong colors. So while I was hoping for mauvey pink tones, what I got, as you can see, was a lot more lavender/purple with gray tones.I considered returning it, but figured since I'd gotten it at a good price, I'd give it a try, if I hated it, I'd pass it along to someone else.Well... to my surprise, I really liked it. The colors are sheer but just pigmented enough that you can put them on and see them on your lids without having to spend 5 minutes with a blending brush to tone down the color. So you can definitely build to the depth and amount of color that you want.The quality is very nice; it looked just as good at 5 pm as it did when I put it on. The colors are soft and creamy and go on easily. I didn't notice any smudging or fading.If it helps, I am fair-skinned with blue/gray eyes and cool undertones, and while I am not normally a fan of purple shades (I am much more comfortable with nude or neutral shades) because they tend to be too bright for me, I don't mind these. I am considering ordering some of the other shades, but hesitant since I don't know what colors I will actually end up with.But other than that, I would recommend them--but maybe check them out in a store first and see how the colors in the picture compare to the real thing.

Richer pigments than expected for the price point. Colors as applied are mostly true to how they appear in the palette. Great for experimenting if you've never tried more dramatic pigments. Color has decent enough staying power and the palette packaging is thin and easy to carry (and not so expensive it's traumatic if the powders break up in transit although that hasn't happened with this yet). Nice color array for bringing out green--lovely match for hazel eyes. Would give 5 stars if there were a matte highlighting option included instead of both the light/white powders being shimmer.

Very nice subtle colors for my brown eyes. Great palette of colors. I've spent more money on high end shadows and the Covergirl was a nice surprise!

It's nice but not super pigmented it's super light.

Love the colors and the brand. Only problem is that one of the colors was crumbly when it arrived. Now when I open it have to be careful not to spill any of it.

I was looking for a new eyeshadow palette with cleaner ingredients and decided to give this one a try. The colors are pretty and generally have a good color payoff. Some of the shades apply light at first, but is buildable to get the intensity you want. My only downside is that the shimmer can be a bit much. Overall, a solid palette to try out for the price point.

Although there are other cheaper ones in the market, I chose this because it’s talc-free. Also there is a little compartment for the applicator. I find it very convenient. I cut double-ended cotton buds (into 2) to replace the sponge applicator once it is worn out. Very happy with this purchase.

Beautiful colours! I have light skin and green eyes and these colours are so flattering. I love the middle shade in my crease and above as a sheer wash of colour. I use the lightest shades on my lids and inner corners for a little brightness. If you like heavily pigmented eyeshadow, this probably wouldn't be for you. If you're like me and want a more sheer wash of colour that still shows up, you will probably love this. It also aging skin friendly. In my 50s and no issues with that. I think these shades would suit any eye colour. This will be my easy, go-to for a quick and beautiful eye look and I think all my other eyeshadows will be neglected now. Definitely will repurchase.
