AMAZING Book - MUST Have for Coaches & Athletes
I have purchased this book 3 times from Amazon and likely another time through Westside. I lend it to coaches and never see it again. I am shocked to see so few reviews here. This book is a must have for Coaches & Athletes. It is required reading for my staff and recommended reading to any Coach I speak with.

An excellent book with great knowledge.
I originally heard about this book through a guy named Louis Simmons. He is a grandfather in the strength and conditioning world and definitely knows his stuff. It was interesting to read this book and find most of his ideas about explosive power came directly from the sky. There's a reason Luis is world renowned and it's because he listens to Smart people. This guy is smart and his ideas will blow your mind. Lots of knowledge in a very small book. Half of it is pictures with exercises in the front half is a street, to the point sets and reps description of how to make your athletes explosive.

Good Book with good ideas
A lot of good ideas in this book. The planner section also breaks down the more suitable activities per type of sport, whcih is very helpful. Some of the ideas need a bit more creativity for figuring out what equipment to use.

... is a must read for any athlete looking for better jumping ability
This book is a must read for any athlete looking for better jumping ability, although it is really a coaches book. Much better than 97% of the books claiming increased vertical etc etc.

no filler, concise and very informing
This book is not very long but contains a lot of information that will help anyone. THere are many myths about getting more exposive. "all you have to do is skip rope" "you don't need to be stronger" "don't do plyometrics they're dangerous, just lift weights" "do a lot of depth jumps." This book dispels myths by looking at the science.Although the first part of the book is technical, it is not overly difficult. The second part is a detailed listing of the hundreds of exercises that are possible. If you ever wonder how NFL Combine coaches are able to get their athletes to perform so well at the Combine, then this book may shed some light on that.Buy the book if you are serious about explosive ability in athletics

Da lieber Donald A. Chu: Jumping into Plyometrics (Sprungkrafttraining) oder Jürgen Weineck: Optimales Training (Training im Generellen).2.)

xplosive Power and Jumping Ability for All Sports: Atlas of Exercises

Good book for jumping training
Good book for jumping training and very good information. If anyone is serious about strength training or jumping this is the book. As it is a soviet union book.
