Smooth and Satisfying
I'd never used a mud mask before this so I really didn't know what to expect. The smell is mild, light, natural, and earthy- very pleasant and smells clean. Putting it on is easy (I use a facial mask brush) and it is a lot lighter feeling than I anticipated. It doesn't feel overly sticky when I wear it and it doesn't drip or go into my mouth. As it dries I can feel my face getting tighter and the oils being absorbed. Taking the mask off is easy, too. I just use a hot towel and wipe. Since the mud is a thicker consistency than say, a cucumber mask, it does take a little bit of wiping to get it all but my skin looks dewy afterward and it pulls out a lot of the oils and other gunk from my pores. Bonus points because it even pulls some of the deeper stuff and pulls it to the surface. I use this about once a week, or ever 2-3 days if I'm really oily and haven't had any negative side effects. My skin doesn't get too dry afterward and it helps to clear up my acne. I've tried the Shill's peel off mask that is all over social media and I don't have any complaints about it either (it's not painful to take off and it only takes 15 minutes to dry instead of 30 for this mud mask) but I don't think it does as good of a job pulling the oil and blackheads out. It is neat to be able to peel off the mask and see what has been pulled out, compared to this Mud Mask, but there is really a big difference in how I feel after each mask. With this mask, my skin feels oil-free, clean, and fresh. When I used the Shill's peel-off mask, my face sometimes feels a little sticky afterward and I wonder if any tiny pieces have gotten stuck in any of the pores. After the Shill's mask I usually cleanse or do a quick wipe-off of my face but I don't have to do that with the Dead Sea Mud Mask. Now, that's not to say I don't still use the Shill's mask. Since it only takes 15 minutes, sometimes I throw it on while my little one naps on my problem areas to help keep down oil and acne. But, I also use this Mud Mask weekly and I think that the two of them really makes a good team. I don't recommend doing both on the same day, but definitely using both is helping my skin to not break out as badly this pregnancy than with my first. I've even gotten my husband using this product and he likes it. He has a lot of acne due to certain medications but this helps to keep some of the oils down in his face and prevent the really bad breakouts he used to get. It doesn't fully counteract the medicine he takes, but it does a really good job of managing the chronic acne. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Give it time, and make it part of your schedule and you will see the results!
**Updated 3/20/17** So it has been a while now that I have used this product. First, I want to say the company has been more than friendly and reached out to me for my honest review- which I gave previously. I have been using this face mask 2-3 times a week (the label does say only once but I felt like I needed more) and for the first time in a long time I have not had any crazy cystic acne break outs. I do not know if this product is the sole reason (I am using new oils and moisturizer as well). But, anytime I feel a new pimple coming, I use this mask for a few reasons. #1: it keeps me from picking at my face since a new pimple is very tempting. #2. It forces me to wash my face instead of being too lazy (having mud on my face is motivation to get off of my couch and go wash it off). And #3: it takes away the pain from the cystic acne. I also had a allergic reaction recently to the grease on onion rings- very cute, I know. And I put this mask on to help with the itching and the inflamed skin and it helped SO much. I regret leaving a bad review previously, before I gave it more time and before I figured out when it is working for me because I will officially be purchasing this again --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wanted to use it once a week before I gave my review. I actually used it twice a week for the past two weeks and saw no difference. It smelt good, it felt good but I have not seen any changes in my skin. I did feel a bit cleaner after using the product. I wouldn't tell anyone not to try this product but I also wouldn't say it did anything for my skin but that is also just me. I have cystic acne, large pores and many scars(thank you hormones), this product didn't make any of it worse but it didn't help at all. I am slightly disappointed by all the before and after pictures everyone posted- it does make me question why they are leaving such good reviews but I will just go ahead and say that it could just be me. I will probably use it until it is finished but won't buy again.

Initially skeptical but ate my words
I have good things to say about this product. I was initially unconvinced. The first time I used it I was underwhelmed. This is probably because when I buy a product with excellent reviews I develop unrealistic expectations of what the product will achieve the first time I use it (i.e., I irrationally expect a miracle product). Anyways, I began using the mud once a week as directed. I leave the product on for 45 minutes to an hour. The first few times I noticed that my skin felt cleaner and less oily but wasn't convinced it was helping with my acne. In retrospect, I believe it was. After using it once a week for several weeks I went without it for three weeks. I was moving and I forgot it at my old apartment. I broke out which, obviously, I did not appreciate. After about three weeks I went back to my old apartment to visit my former roommates and found it in the bathroom cabinet. So I used it. It was only after this gap in using the product that I really noticed how effective it is. My skin was in good condition when I first started using it so it makes sense that I didn't get a great idea of whether it would address my acne. Given that I broke out within three weeks of not using it I think it was responsible for keeping my acne at bay. (Not being able to use it obviously wasn't the only thing that made me break out. During the move I wasn't eating very healthy, wasn't getting enough sleep etc., so there were other causes for the breakout.) But what REALLY convinced me was that after three weeks of non-use, it faded my acne scars visibly in one usage. And I mean considerably, not just a little bit. To the point that when I looked in the mirror I was truly shocked by the difference. I'm very glad that I bought and tried this product. I can foresee it being part of my skincare routine for a long time. The mud itself has a pleasant, mild scent and a wonderful texture when you smooth it onto your skin. The only thing that I don't love is the slimy feeling when you're washing it off. Other people say they can feel the skin cells sloughing off. Perhaps that's where the slimy feeling comes from. Regardless of the reason, who cares, right? The sliminess is a minor inconvenience compared to the results. I would definitely recommend buying at least one jar and giving it a try, mostly because the price is reasonable.

After Just One Application, My Skin Looks Healthier!
Lately I've been wanting to try new treatments for my hair and skin so they look healthier. I came upon the Dead Sea Mud Mask and it was just what I was looking for at a reasonable price so I decided to purchase it. When it arrived, I'll admit I was a bit surprised because the jar seemed smaller than I expected but I am also not very good at picturing the size of something unless I have a visual so, for that reason, I've included a picture of the mud mask jar next to a 20 ounce Diet Coke bottle for anyone who prefers visuals as well. The mud mask comes in an 8.8 fluid ounce/ 250 gram plastic jar and is made from minerals taken from the Dead Sea in Israel. The purpose of this mud mask is to remove dead skin cells and toxins, as well as absorb oils and aid in clearing up acne (taken from the mud mask container). The full ingredient list is: deionized water, Dead Sea mud, kaolin, shea butter, sunflower oil, aloe vera juice, vegetable glycerin, jojoba oil, hickory bark extract, calendula oil, and xanthan gum. The bottom of the jar contains the manufacturing date of 2/29/2016 and an expiration date of 2/28/2018. It's fairly easy to use this mud mask too. You apply a thin layer of it to clean skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes then use warm water in circular motions to remove it. It took several minutes to remove the mask but that didn't seem to be a huge deal to me. The directions say to not use it more than once a week. When I first applied the mud mask, I freaked out my in-laws because the mask is dark like mud and I'm pretty fair-skinned so they just weren't expecting it. It was actually pretty funny! After I removed it, my mother-in-law immediately noticed that my skin looked healthier and I could tell as well. Even just after one application, this mud mask removed some of the dead skin cells and toxins and rather than looking slightly splotchy (since everything shows up on people who have fair skin), my skin looks clear and much healthier! I don't currently have acne with the exception of the occasional blemish so I really can't comment on that part of it. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and I will continue to purchase it as long as it works well for me for awhile. At first, I thought that the price was a little too much for the size of the container but, since you only use this mask once a week, it really should last for many months so that makes it worth it to me. If you are looking for a mask to make your skin healthier, especially with summer coming, I'd consider purchasing this one. If anything happens to change my opinion of this product, I will update my review. I'm very happy with this mud mask and recommend it to anyone!

Not the best ingredients but it's decent
Not the strongest mask I've used, and there's a stinging sensation to it that lasts about a full minute. Not difficult to remove, easy to not over-apply (I use a flat foundation brush for application). Definitely had more cleansing with a charcoal mask, but please note that the first ingredients are potato and corn starch, with dead sea mud being the SIXTH ingredient. So I have nothing against dead sea mud as it usually has top-notch cleansing power over charcoal masks, but this particular mask is not pure dead sea mud as indicated by the ingredients list. There are a lot of thickeners. There are also several other masks on Amazon that list dead sea mud as the first ingredient and have about five ingredients total. So, don't get me wrong this DOES cleanse and leaves the skin baby soft (not very drying) I must point out there may not be as much dead sea mud in this mask as you may think. If you're looking for a pore-cleansing mask, this will do. If you're wanting a mask after hearing about the extreme powers of dead sea mud, this might not be it. This is the first product I've tried from Pure Body Naturals, and a lot of their other products seem to have great reviews so I wouldn't ditch this brand over this one product.

An Amazing Self Pampering Experience!
I just wanted to say, this stuff is amazing. This is my first time using a product of this nature and I am in awe of how great it feels and works. I will start by telling you, I have pretty decent skin as it is, I have really never had issues with my skin. However, I do enjoy pampering myself in all manners and have always been very hygienic, when I saw this advertised on Amazon I wanted to try it. I received my package on time and the product was in perfect condition, thank you. I read the back of the container for use/instructions as well as did a little online research on best use/practices with these types of products. The day that it arrived, I washed my face, I waited about thirty minutes and applied the Dead Sea Mud Mask. I let it sit for about 15-20 minutes, it felt a little odd but it was enjoyable. I laid down and relaxed to a little calm music while waiting. When I was done I slowly wet my hands and rubbed the mask off in a circular motion, as instructed on the container. When it was all off I instantly felt a difference in my skin. My skin felt more balanced and cleaner, it wasn't oily, it wasn't dry, it was just right. After closely inspecting my face, I immediately noticed a difference in my pores. My pores have never been big and open or dirty, just small pores around my nose, I could already see that my pores were even smaller and cleaner than they have ever been in the past, I was impressed from the first use. I will be a frequent user of this product for many years to come. Judging by how much I used for my first mask, using this once a week I can already tell that I will get plenty of uses out of this single container before needing to purchase another. When it does get to where I am almost out I will certainly be buying another one. It has only been 2 days and I have already recommended this product to a couple different people and will continue to do so. I have also dedicated Sunday mornings to using this mask, it will be my lazy relaxed morning, I will be ending the weekend on the right foot and setting off for the week ahead in the correct direction. I truly appreciate "Pure Body Naturals" customer satisfaction assurance. Receiving the emails making sure not only did the package arrive in perfect condition but also ensuring I am satisfied with my purchase means a lot to a consumer like me. I am more than pleased to know that I have purchased a product from a truly professional provider and will continue to use products from a seller like "Pure Body Naturals".

Great for acne prone skin, prevent cakey makeup
Amazing mask. Great for flaky oily skin. Prevent cakey makeup I have extreme oily skin, so naturally I'm still experiencing acne as an adult because of it. And because of acne, my skin is always flaky with bits of skin hanging here and there. It's extremely hard to get rid of. I tried all the YouTube tricks to exfoliate but I never get a smooth canvas to put makeup on and it always end up cakey and the makeup melts off my face bc the oil comes out after a couple hours. I had to use expensive (for a college student) moisturizer $25/oz to keep down the flakes, and barely effective. Normally, I put on the mask 30min and moisturizer to prep my skin for the next 3 days or so and it worked great. But After leaving on the mask overnight once by accident, the next morning my face was so smooth. No more flakes of skin. My foundation and powder go on flawlessly and it lasted more than twice as long as normal before melting off. I can use this mask now together with just a cheap moisturizer maybe $2-3/oz and still get away with beautiful smooth makeup. PROS: 1. Smells great 2. Super moisturizing 3. Great for getting rid of flaky skin to prevent cakey makeup 4. Reduces redness visibly 5. Reduce oil production and thus acne production CONS: 1. Storage and handling have to be careful to keep clean 2. Can be messy when washing it off your face bc it's black 3. Might not be for all types of skin WARNING: 1. store in the fridge and use a clean spoon to scoop out just the amount of mask for use every time or you'll contaminate it and it will grow mold. 2. Not for everybody's skin. Some people might be more sensitive than others. I can leave this mask on for three four hours and still be fine but my friend left it on for two hours and her face felt tender afterward.

Don't believe the fake reviews. I'm just hoping someone reads this...
I love face masks and mud/clay mask is part of my weekly routine. I have used Boscia, Origins, Innisfree mud masks to name a few. My routine consists of using a mud mask to remove excess oil, using some sort of physical or chemical exfoliator and using an intensive moisturizing mask. It has worked for me for years and my skin has been clear for quite some time now. This is a terrible mask and is definitely not worth the money. 1) You get very little "mud" in this product. You are paying mainly for corn starch and other forms of starchy products. Just flip over to the chemical list and you'll see that there is more fluff product (they are listed first) compared to mud. When you spread out a mud mask, it should stay opaque because of, well, the mud! When you do the same for this product, the spreads out to be very thin and translucent. A clear sign that the content was diluted with other products to increase the volume. 2) It does not leave your face clean. Because of the high amount of crap in this mask, including a lot of cheap oils, the oil tends to stay on your skin so you don't feel too dry after it. However, this is really bad for your skin because it just leaves bad oils on the surface without actually moisturizing it. I like feeling refreshed and my pores cleaned after using a mud mask and not to have it clogged by sunflower seed oil. Yep, that's one of the products. 3) The perfume burns your face. Again, this product tries to be something it is not. It uses a very very heavy perfume to give a fake scent. Since I've not changed anything else in my routine, I can only conclude that this was the product that gave mild burns to my face. I cannot further emphasize on how bad this product is. This is a perfect example of a product getting good reviews because it sends customers free stuff and buys customer reviews. Both reviewmeta and fakespot marked this product as suspicious due to the number of unnatural reviews. What makes me sad is that this review will probably be buried under a sea of 5-star fake reviews and it will never see the light of day. I'm just hoping to steer ONE person away from this product. Do yourself a favor a get an actual credible product somewhere else.
