Works really well - way cheaper than most other alternatives
Setting this up with my virtual lighting console and programming environment was incredibly easy - just plug and play. This dongle is significantly less expensive than others that claim similar functionality and works really well - I had no issues with it keeping up or being compatible with my Linux-based lighting control setup or any DMX devices, including multiple universes. Would buy again.

MacOS + QLC + UKing + DSDTech = Win
Works with Intel-based MacOS, QLC+, and UKing RGBYC 5-laser projector. MagicQ and ShowBuddy didn't worked, strangely enough. I tested every DMX ID, and every value I could send, and had no issues. Maybe there's a reason to buy more expensive DMX dongles, but this works perfect for my setup.

Perfect for a mobile DJ setup! No more physical controller, and a better show!
Perfect. Allowed me to control my DMX lighting setup from my computer. I use QLC+ and trigger it using osl2 signals from my DJ software. Ideal for a mobile setup where you program scenes and then trigger then from either cues in the tracks or a midi controller (or both!) love it!

Worked first day with QLC+ and then failed.
Worked first day with QLC+ and then failed. Data transfer light went out. Windows 11 no longer detects it in Device Manager. I tried it on another Windows 11 device, same result. The USB also does not firmly seat in the USB receptacle. Tried unloading and loading the drivers but it appears dead.

Works; Sometimes lights flicker
Works pretty good with Q Light Controller+ (free software). Doesn't always keep up with the lasers and will flicker occasionally, but for the price it's a great device. Plug and play, no drivers needed. Easy installation, easy to use.

I use this to connect lightkey, and it works great - solid signal, awesome budget option.

Works but low compatibility
I was able to get it to work in a few apps but not all apps. Qlc+ worked but many other apps didn’t have a corresponding driver and I couldn’t get the generic driver to work.

I've bought two of these, the latest about a week ago (for two separate rigs). Download and install the drivers as per the provided instructions and they just work. I've tested these with Show Buddy Active and VST Live 2 and so far, so good. Incredible value for money.

J'ai récemment fait l'acquisition de ce câble USB vers DMX (FTDI) pour contrôler un univers DMX via QLC+. Je suis extrêmement satisfait de mon achat. Le câble a été immédiatement reconnu par mon ordinateur, que ce soit sous Windows, Mac (Apple Silicon) ou Linux, sans nécessiter d'installation de pilotes spécifiques. L'interface est très réactive, ce qui facilite grandement la gestion de l'éclairage en temps réel. Étant donné son prix abordable et la réputation de fiabilité des puces FTDI, je considère cet achat comme une excellente valeur. Je le recommande vivement à toute personne cherchant une solution fiable et efficace pour la gestion d'un petit parc de lumieres
