Schlage F40 LAT 625 Latitude Door Lever, Bed & Bath Privacy Lock, Bright Chrome

Ordered these to finish out a new house and couldn’t be more pleased with Schlage quality and looks. I have a total of 23 of these installed in different houses for over 5 years with heavy use and have only had one problem with a latch that broke. Schlage replaced it very quickly and was back in operation. I have only one complaint and I blame myself for it checking these when they came in. It was over a year before I installed one of the locks and when I opened the package it was missing the latch mechanism. Since it has been over a year since I ordered I guess I will just have to purchase the item to make this last one work. Take away from this review. Check your items to make sure all part are in the box.

Changed all the door handles in the house to these. We love them. Easy to use, especially when your hands are full. They look great and are well made.

Replaced old gold wiserlock knobs. The Schlage lever locks fit perfectly, install was easy all screw holes on srtike and bolt aligned without any adjustments. 100% satisfied.

I received what I believe to be a returned item. Typically I don’t care, as I’d rather take something with a scratch or whatever to save the landfills, but with this I couldn’t help but be upset. I’ll start by saying this is the latest in a long line of door handle changing I’ve done in the past six months. I am extremely proficient at installing door handles. When I tell you. This freakin’ handle. Took me an HOUR to install. You best believe that is like 55 minutes longer than it should have taken. The box I received had no padding, no protective bags, no cardboard dividers, nothing. Just a box with all the parts rollin’ around together. I’ve ordered this exact same handle many times from a handful of other retailers and none of them looked like this mess. As I mentioned, normally it would be fine. But this matte black handle came with the most god awful scratches all over it from the screws and the parts all runnin’ up against each other like it was an….ogre (purposefully misspelled to protect young eyes). Beyond the aesthetic of the piece, it was missing parts and the parts it did have were bent in such a way that it doesn’t lay completely flat. I was able to retro fit some bits from the previous handle to save the hassle of having to return it, but it only functions at 80%, because the strike plate only mostly lines up with the handle. This handle is on a door that is rarely used, so I’m bothered by it but not hindered on a daily basis. My advice to you, the consumer, is if you want this handle, you best make sure your package is unopened. Or at least don’t waste your time installing it if you’re missing pieces. I’ll add down here that this is mainly a review on the storefront. We have these handles (Schlage Latitude Century) on almost all our doors and they look great and operate well. My review on the features will be based on the item I expected, not the crap I received. Can’t take my anger out on a good product.

Our existing hardware was outdated. We replaced all the hinges and handles throughout our home. Out with the gold trim, like I mentioned-outdated, and in with the satin nickel. Several trips to local stores and we made our decision. But wait! Amazon was best price online and approximately $8-$10 cheaper per item. Ordering 16 sets that's a bit of savings! We didn't choose the cheapest, we chose the ones we wanted! And for the cost every bit helps. Ordered Saturday afternoon, arrived Sunday morning! Took approximately 4-5 minutes per door to install. Definitely a quality upgrade. We can feel a difference in the sturdiness and they look great. All latches fit perfectly, no need to chisel for proper fit. None of the strike plates required adjustment, they latched perfect first time.

I have been a weiser buyer in the past. Schlage product have been my go to for work. They are strerdy and easy to install. Love this brand and is my go to choice.

Ordered 2 but one of them had issues with the mounting screws on the door handle chasis even after numerous times attempting to align it. The threads on the door handle possibly damaged as tested the screws on the other door handle I ordered and they worked fine so it must be the actual chasis threads. The other handle I ordered had no issues. Love the simple video step by step instructions.
