This is such a large bag compared to other sellers. Is the quality the same or is it blended with other things.

Yes, it is a large bag. But I use it quite often to coat (put some on a dish and press the meat onto the spice), I use it for lamb as well as pork chops. For chicken, use it as part of a bread-crumb "shake-n-bake mixture.It is a mysterious and intriguing spice that my patrons often wonder about but then it makes sense!Also, the larger bag is less expensive than a tin that is 1/10 the size.

what is best before date

Should be at least a year from when you purchased. I keep mine in an airtight container (I use a tupperware container with an air release lid) in the fridge. Mine is 6 months past best date and it is still very fragrant.
