Is there a purpose to having both this and the Bluetooth module?

I have the bluetooth from the solar controller. I also have this renogy battery monitor.  because the battery monitor is so much more accurate the bluetooth module ( really only serves as a good approximate 'indicator')  it does show the voltage and amp input from the solar panels and you get to view this on yr phone which is i guess 'interesting'. But really unless the information is completely accurate it is difficult to actually say it is worth worrying about really.

Rv has 2x12v bats in parll. bat1+ feeds 12v bus; bat2- feeds gnd. invrtr + slr chrgr attch to these posts. hw to wire gge for both bus & invrtr cts?

This Renogy Battery monitor is coming with its shunt that most be connected to the negative cable of your two batteries in parallel. No matter how many different loads you are connecting to the positive your Batteries monitor shunt should connect to the negative cable. So, you disconnect the negative cable from the battery and inserts in series the shunt, then the portion negative cable to ground will be be connected from the second post point of the shunt( - load). Try to follow the wiring diagram provided.

Why is this 80? Seems like there are other ones for half the price. Any advantage of having this one?

It seems you haven't took in all the facts. It includes an excellent shunt, well designed, fully thought out. While 80 might seen high to you, some cost much more. I paid 94 and am very happy. A word of advice. What you read on this device will not match any display on your controller. This will seem confusing. It is tracking your batteries, where your controller is tracking a mix of solar in, loads out, battery in, and battery out. Take the time to understand the nuances, and trust this tool. It is excellent.
