I was hesitant to make a purchase but so far, this is a very decent gaming laptop for me don't expect miracles you will either have to settle for running games at lower graphics or you can do what i did and get a separate external graphics card to help run games at better graphics very fast and reliable and you help the environment by buying refurbished the storage is big enough for both games and all my college essays i save for backup just in case i have to resubmit work. best for both my uses i also use this laptop for my buisness as well and it runs great for that as well able to talk to clinets and check detail at the same time without a lag on video or sudden speed reduction some reviews say that you can't change the volume but you can. unfortunately it won't come with a instruction pamphlet on basic features so i will tell you right now, you have to hold the FN key and tap f2 and f3 keys to change the volume same goes if you need to quickly mute (if your a gamer, you know being able to quickly mute without clicking though shit is a must lol) hold FN again and press F4 F11 and F12 control brightness Insert button puts your laptop immediately to sleep keeping your tabs "idle" till you get back again be sure you hold the Fn button as you do so while gaming depending on the games you decide to run but IT WILL GET HOT not like burning hot but enough that you probably don't wanna rest it on your lap I keep a laptop pad on my lap so it vents and doesn't bother me much It also will sound like a PS4 Fan after a bit so take breaks for both your gaming health and the laptop lol Doesn't heat up though when doing light activities like YouTube, emails, etc It's kinda heavy vs a Chromebook i use to borrow from my colleges, so don't try to say hold it with one hand, it hruts your wrist a bit Overall, this laptop is ok for gaming if your willing to deal with low graphics or spend extra on a external graphics card and should be perfect for basic internet needs as well

I have a lot of refurbished Dell laptops. They work well. First time buyer from this seller and I would like buy more. Seller is unfortunately extremely hard to contact. So far I have failed. Product arrived exceptionally fast (I'm quite close to seller's location). Impeccably packed - truly a work of art. Repaired damage to the laptop was greater than I have seen on any other computers I've bought. But it works fine.

This is the laptop as the centerpiece of my audio/MIDI research studio. When I got it, it started kicking butt right away, I got it for audio, so 16 gig ram, quad processor, SSD drive all make it hum, it's most notable weakness is that it's only 1.7 Ghz not like 3Ghz & I5. It still is fast and multitasks well.... It is windows 11 Pro, Pro is good....As with all 14" laptops, it's got good real estate on the monitor, but is a little heavy, and a little large, a tradeoff....Hard drive is 512 GB, you might want to trade up to a 1 TB drive. I generally like Dell as an American brand (I don't like HP) and I owned a computer repair company for over 20 years....Gud luk!

The laptop worked for only two and a half hours! I use the same exact model for my work computer for the last four years. I'm very familiar of its capabilities and limitations. I wanted one for personal use at home for light use. I thought it was a good deal when I came across the posting on Amazon. The seller claims that - "This product is inspected, tested, and refurbished, as necessary to be fully functional according to Amazon Renewed standards." - I think that may be a false claim. The laptop was received in good packaging and very clean. Almost new condition. I plugged the laptop in and decided to let it charge for about an hour to charge up the batteries before doing any powering up and setting up Windows10 on the system. After an hour I went ahead and powered it up for the first time with the power cable still plugged in. I was able to go through the entire Windows10 set up process getting my account set up completely. While in the process of running windows update 30 minutes later the system suddenly started to beep with low battery notifications. I finally noticed that the charging indicator icon was not active and the laptop was not charging at all. I tested the power cord and did not find any problems with it. I used another same-type charger from my work laptop and that too does not work with this laptop. I ran some Dell diagnostics with the remaining power left in the batteries and it shows that the system does not recognize any chargers plugged in or the system is not receiving any power when plugged in. After further troubleshooting the problem, it appears that the charging port is completely defective. The different cables I plugged into the charging port felt extremely loose and unable to make a proper connection. As of this writing the laptop is now completely drained of power from the batteries and there is no way for me to perform a factory reset to wipe all my personal information from the system. This makes me very uncomfortable returning it for a refund or replacement. I feel like the only option I have is to find a local computer repair shop that can repair hardware like the power port on this system. I don't think I will be buying anything marked as "refurbished" or "renewed" This was a very bad experience overall.

This review ONLY applies to the Dell Latitude 5490 I received through Seller Century Computer LLC. The laptop was very clean and looked truly refurbished. The Windows key was valid. It has an 8th generation CPU, and I upgraded it to Windows 11. This model has a touch screen and that works well too. There was one very minor issue and the seller contacted me very quickly. It's hardly worth mentioning but his quick response shows he backs his merchandise.

I’ve used this refurbished laptop for a month. Absolutely perfect. I could only find 2 imperfections. I am super pleased to have a good value.

Efectivamente te llega el producto mencionado en la descripción tal cual, obviamente no cuenta con la tecla ñ al ser de Estados Unidos, pero teniendo en cuenta las características del equipo y el precio no tengo nada de que quejarme. Funciona muy bien, te llega impecable casi parece nuevo y el cargador si es de la marca Dell.

Just worked for few weeks. Laptop dead. Not booting. No power led.
