Perfect radio for anyone with disabilities.
Music is a lifeline for anyone that has physical or mental disabilities so this is a perfect radio simply used. A flash drive of favorite music can be plugged in for easy listening. It was a life saver for my Mom who was stricken with Alzheimerโs and now used for a sister suffering with disabilities from a stroke. Recommend highly!

Excellent unit, but need to obtain a low profile USB stick if you want to use USB with the front panel/cover over the controls.
This was a good purchase for my mother who has Alzheimer's. The unit has a nice sound and the one button control is perfect for her. Her memory is very poor, but she can still read and follow instructions. I just printed (in matching gold and black) a large label that I stuck to the front panel. The label reads, "Press the button on top to listen to golden oldies." I have downloads of the Billboard Top 30 from 1946 to 1953(?) and the Top 100 from '54 onward. I copied the tunes from '46 to '60 onto a USB stick and that's what plays when she presses the top button. It's perfect. One thing I would suggest to the manufacturer is to recess the USB slot. You cannot place the front panel/cover over the tuning and volume controls with a standard USB stick in place. I found a low profile USB stick and still had to take a Dremel tool to hollow out some of the front panel, so the stick could be inserted and the front panel/cover placed over the control.

A God-Send for Music-Lovers with Disabilities
My Mother is 90-years-old and a former classical pianist. Music, especially classical music, is hugely important to her; however, with severe arthritis, low vision, and some memory loss, she can no longer manipulate dials and buttons on radios or similar. I had been looking for something like this product for several years and was thrilled to find it! I was even more thrilled as to how easy it was for me to set it up (I'm not a techie) with the local classical music station and the right volume. The written instructions were so basic and simple, I couldn't go wrong. But the best thing of all is, my Mother has no problem whatsoever tapping the large silver button on top of the radio to turn it on {automatically to the right volume and the right radio station} and then to simply tap it again to turn it off. It is sooo simple and wonderful for her! She now has classical music back in her life, nourishing her heart and soul. Thank you so much to whoever understood the disability-accessibility issues and devised this practical, vitally-needed product. Yes, the radio is pricey, since it's one-of-a-kind with limited production (so high costs), but it's worth every penny for the joy it is bringing my Mother (and me as well). Also, the radio arrived very quickly and well-packaged. NOTE: This radio is quite large, retro-style, like in the "old days". Initially, taking it out of the box, it can seem too big when compared to the miniature players we have these days. But the beauty of the radio being large is 1) it can easily bee seen by those with low vision, 2) it is sturdy enough to not tip over when someone is clumsy, and 3) it prompts those with reduced memory to remember it is available to turn on readiy.

Solid radio with great sound IF you live in an area with good reception (which is not the fault of the radio)
I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews. This is actually a great radio with very good sound quality. If there is poor reception that is NOT the fault of the radio. I preset it to the station I wanted in my home and the sound quality is excellent. Unfortunately it's pure static in the location where I bought it for - NOT the fault of the radio, it's just not a good area for reception, something is blocking the signal. So I am trying to figure out if/how I can hook up a dipole or other antenna through the AUX input. The radio is exactly as described, so most of the complaints look to me like people who didn't take the time to clearly read the product description or are trying to use it in a bad reception area. I am taking off one star because of the USB location. Even though it clearly states where it is and that the cover must remain off, that could have been designed better.

Perfect for my Mom!!!
Looking for a radio for my 93 year old mother that had great sound and was very easy for her to use. When she would try and turn off, or just turn sound down in other radios we tried she would accidentally touch something else and lose her station or not able to get sound back which all really frustrated her. This radio is perfect for her. She is enjoying her music without frustration or worry that she will mess it up.

Doesn't work battery operated.
Bought this for my 92 yr. old mother with moderate Alzheimers. She loved it when I showed her how to turn it on & off. However, I could not get it to work with batteries. New batteries, yes they were in the correct way, tried another new set of batteries, yes they were in the correct way & still did not work with batteries.

Perfect for my elderly mother
My mother is in a nursing home and barely has any eyesight. This radio is ABSOLUTLEY PERFECT for her!!!! I cannot begin to express how this radio has made her life a HUNDRED times better. Just the (1) button on top is the only button that she needs to turn it off and turn it back on. I put it on the station that she always listens to and there is nothing else for her to do but punch the button on top. We are happy campers! :)

Perfect for someone who gets easily confused
Got this radio for my mother's 88th birthday. We set it on her favorite Christian radio station. She said she loves it and now that she is more of a homebody and is not always able to make it to church, she enjoys listening to church services on her new radio.

Great product, be aware ships wit US electrical cable.
The radio does exactly as it should, very well designed for the end user. Factor in the purchase of a new power supply to replace the standard US plug.
