not for beginners
great for a quick run-down for the sat! helped me a lot! It contains a lot of vocabulary which isn't tested very much on the sat but other than that I recommend.

Raised my son's SAT score by 380 points!
My son is a bright student but suffers from poor study habits, which resulted in mediocre scores when he took the SAT (1590 / 2400). He is definitely of the YouTube generation. He really needed a structured environment to provide the discipline needed to get results. On a leap of faith, I signed up for Marcy Manning's Boot Camp program which included very focused one hour weekly tutorials along with lots of practice, practice, practice. Her program is very efficient as it targets the child's weak areas, and doesn't waste time on things the child already knows. She also has an excellent must know 100 vocabulary word list in the book, and many other tools in the book and on her website.Make no mistake, there is no easy way through this, and the child needs to put in the time. I believe Marcy's Boot Camp is the most efficient and effective way to do well on the SAT. An additional benefit to Marcy's program is that my son actually had to learn how to sit down for a few hours at a time and focus on studying without electronic distractions. As a result of Boot Camp, his strong foundation in algebra is really paying off in his physics class this year, and his writing skills have also come a long way. I have a feeling this course also gave him a little dose of the rigors of college demands, and he'll be better prepared for it. Marcy's programs vary in price (check her website) but I considered the cost an investment, and in retrospect, well worth it.After the course, my son scored a 1970/2400 on the SAT, and I believe he could've scored even higher if he put in more time. If you don't have the means to pay for Marcy's course, I believe the Boot Camp book on its own is well worth it, as it cuts to the chase. It's very specific on math, vocabulary, grammar, writing techniques and so much more. The book is entertaining and full of hints and advice. Just make sure your child practices!

Great value for minimizing SAT stress and maximizing SAT results!
The Boot Camp Book along with the prep sessions offered by Ms. Manning proved to be the one-two punch needed for my son to raise his SAT scores by almost 300 points from the start of the program. While this increase was great for helping my son get into the colleges he wanted, the best part was the scholarship that was offered solely due to the increase in his SAT scores. There is definite value in investing in a book, prep classes and time for student study, when the payoff will be over $60,000 in merit scholarships to a chosen college. The program is designed in a way that is focused on what you really need to know for the test, and that focused, individualized approach keeps it from being overwhelming for the student. It is a Boot Camp, so in order to see results, the student must put the time and effort into the process. The Boot Camp approach minimized the stress and maximized the SAT results.

Book is printed.. upside down
The margins are huge on the side of the book that is makes it look like the words are cut off... And not to mention when i go to class i look like an idiot holding a book upside down... ridiculous. Other wise the book's content is fine

Excellent Course, Raised SAT Score as Promised
Getting your child successfully into the university of their choice is a very stressful time in every family's life. Our search for help in raising our daughter's SAT score brought us to Marcy's "Boot Camp for your Brain", and the coaching she offers with it. It was intense, and required a serious commitment on our daughter's part, but it accomplished the objective. Our daughter's score went up over 100 points, and she got into her first-choice university's honors program. We feel the combination of this book with the available coaching proved to be a critical part of helping our daughter over the very highest hurdle in this stage of her life's journey. Our thanks to Marcy and "The World's Best Prep Course"!

Pretty good, especially the math part.
the math part is really detailed, and the vocab includes all the important words you need to know for sentence completion part in CR section. but make sure you know what level you are in. the math part begins with the most basic things. if you can get 620+ in math section i think this material may not be the best tool to boost your score.this material dose not contain full-length practice test(that's why it suggests you to work with OG)for me, the most useful parts are the grammar section, the vocab list, and the list of essay topics.

No-nonsense is right
This book by far beats out any SAT prep book that I have seen. Other books will give you general suggestions on how to take the test, like the tried and true process of elimination or some elementary math concepts that will guarantee a handful of right answers on the math section. Boot Camp for Your Brain delineates (sat word!) each section of the test, breaking down exactly what you need to know. If it's on the test, it's in the book. Know the book from cover to cover and you should stand a real fighting chance against the SAT.

Boot Camp SAT book
We haven't gotten really into this book yet, but it looks like a wonderful reference with sound ideas for increasing SAT scores. Large vocab section with interesting sentences to help remember the words. Price is right and it can only help.

Excellent book to improve vocabulary
This book is really good, I hope it will improve my SAT score. The book had been delivered in excellent condition as well. But it has a few disadvantages like necessity of having complemmentary book that contains test samples. Also math part isn't adequate, but vocabulary one is very, very good!
