This fire pit is the best!
I love this fire pit. We purchased it to take with us when camping in our RV because some campgrounds don't allow open wood burning fires. Also, it is so much more convenient because you don't have to purchase wood to burn or take the wood with you, as some places also don't allow you to bring in your own wood for burning. This fire pit just makes life so much easier and convenient. You don't have to put anything together, as it is ready to go right out of the box. All you need is a propane tank and you hook it up and turn it on and with the electronic ignition it lights right up with the push of a button. The heat output on this little fire pit is amazing. I even had to move my chair back because it puts out a lot of heat, which is a good thing if the weather is cool and you need the heat. My husband likes to stand up next to it and warm his backside and his hands. I am hot natured so I prefer to sit back away from it to avoid the heat, but I can still enjoy the fire perfectly from a few feet away. It has a great flame and looks good too. This fire pit is very well built and has a top to keep the lava rocks from falling out of it, and the top has a strap on it to keep it in place which is great for traveling. We have an RV and keep it stored in the basement of the RV so we also purchased the cover to use with it and it is a great cover that you can sit the fire pit down inside of the cover and zip it closed so it protects the fire pit from getting any scratches on it when traveling and keeps in all contained along with the gas hose too. We also purchased a nice cover for the propane gas tank that has a table top built into it and you can hook up the propane tank to the fire pit with the cover on the propane tank. The cover for the propane tank and the cover for the fire pit do not come with the fire pit, you have to purchase these separately, but for us it was worth the added expense to purchase these covers. I highly recommend this fire pit! We love ours and so glad we purchased it

Love this fire feature
We bought this fire ring for camping since we live in an area that has high fire risk and often not allowed to have a wood fire. This propane fire ring works well, has auto-ignition and looks authentic. The lava rocks look like cooked coals and we have used it in the yard several times. It gives off a good amount of heat too. Good sized and with the cover and strap it's really portable. Good value.

Great Fire Bowl!
We purchased this fire bowl to take on vacation or to the mountains. Much easier than finding firewood and then having to extinguish the fire. Simply turn on, then turn off when you are done!Set-up was very easy...put the lava rocks in the bowl, connect the hose to your propane tank, and light it up.We used it over the Memorial Day weekend for 3 nights, burning at half power for about 4 hours per night on a single tank of propane. Burning on high would use it faster. We had it set-up on a covered porch, and it didn’t get hot underneath (no burning the deck) and the heat above did not get the ceiling hot either. It threw enough heat at half power to take the chill off the air around us, but it’s not going to throw the heat of a real campfire. The flames added a nice ambience and made for some relaxing evenings. The best part was when we wanted to head in, we simply shut it off, turned off the propane tank, and went inside. The fire bowl comes with a metal cover and carrying straps. We did purchase a separate cover to store and transport it, which makes things a lot easier.Overall, very happy with our purchase and can’t wait to use it again.

Great replacement for too big firepit
We had a very nice propane firepit that we used on our camping trips with our 5th wheel however when we jumped to the motorhome suddenly there wasn't adequate space to haul it. Thus the quest to find a replacement which resulted in purchasing the Outland Firebowl 870.Tried it out at home before Memorial Weekend camping and honestly was afraid that it was large enough. BUT in use at the campground for ambience and to make the required so'mores it worked like a charm! 4 campers at a time for roasting with plenty of space. It also put out a lot of heat. Best of all, it was pleasant to sit around while we visited.Right now it looks attractive and seems to be well-made of long lasting materials but it is too early to really know. The one point of surprise is to keep it out of the rain which means that we can't leave it out while camping and it remained rather hot after use so what to do? Our old firepit and this one both have pizo-electric starter however the old one we were able to leave out when needed. So if you were hoping to set up and leave this one sitting out while using for a week-end stay this could be a concern. One last comment: We purchased the storage bag as well so that storing in our motorhome bin wouldn't get messy. This firepit fits well in our storage area and now can easily take our own "camp fire" with us.

Great Fire Pit for Camping!!
Received my fire pit today and just out of the box it is awesome. It was easy to "assemble" by just adding the medium rocks and then the large rocks on top of that. The "rocks" are lightweight and the bulk of the weight is the main pit. The ring around the actual pit is not copper as it appears in the photo but rather a stainless steel ring. The 10 foot hose that it comes with is plenty of room to keep your propane tank away from the fire. To light this bad boy you simply connect your LP tank and turn the gas on at the tank, then turn the dial on the fire pit unit to the left at which time you will hear a click and Viola! You have fire. The height of the flame on low is adequate to keep warm on a fall evening. On a winter evening I will have mine turned up to high where the flames are a good 8 inches high. This thing produces good heat and has very little smell once the initial lighting is done. If you're looking for something to take camping.....this is it. Don't mess with the cheap looking ones, this has lots of class and looks expensive. In addition to the 10 ft gas hose it comes with a flat cover and elastic carry strap. Do you need a bag? I don't, the carry strap and lid is sufficient to get where I'm going. Hope this helps. Once it gets dark I will try to post a video so you can see what the flames look like.
