Also its good on plywood for quick repeat cuts
I use guide edge for ripping down on 2x6, 2x8. Also its good on plywood for quick repeat cuts. Only downside is the guide bar should be wider for more stable tracking.

Useful, but expensive
it's actually a better guide than the one used on most other saws. It attaches solidly at both front and rear, so it doesn't flex, and it can be easily positioned/adjusted.Downside is that for 'just' a guide, it's pretty costly.

Not super great.
I wanted to rip some strips off sheets of plywood that were longer than I could do on my MFT. So I bought this, thinking that I could establish a straight edge with a guide rail, then use this parallel edge guide to follow that edge. It doesn't work that great though, it's hard to get the guide parallel to the saw blade, so you end up with something that pinches the wood against the blade, causing burning, and you don't get an edge as parallel as I would like.It is also very difficult to get an exact width with this guide. In the end, a better way to do it if you have the guide rail anyway is to establish your initial edge, then align the guide rail to the edge using a length reference, like an adjustable square. Get the rail the correct distance on one end, then use the length reference to get the other end of the rail to the correct distance. You have to go back and forth a few times, unless you have two length references which would make super easy. Doing it this way you get the exact width you want and it is more parallel too. The downside is that it takes longer. It would be much easier to do it on a table saw, if you were able to manipulate the sheet good, that is.

Ok tool
This product works but could be more thought out.the fence should be designed to slide under the foot of the saw. That would make the product more useful..

Don't bother
There is a plastic/nylon stop on one of the rail bars and you will quickly find out this prevents you from making cuts in a certain range... Honestly, I think this piece of crap is overpriced and is a poorly thought out response to the UEG guide released by a competitor. Don't even bother. Just use your tracks and forget about thinking this thing is worth the asking price... It should be included FREE with the saw at the time of purchase. As others have already indicated you can't be sure that you tighten this down truly parallel to the saw blade which is not at all something you would associate with Festool and their claims to accuracy.

Poor clamping design
Very disappointed with the clamping knobs I had to remove pressure springs because these were jamming the locking knobs so you can't clamp the guide bars fully causing slippage not what I expect from Festool and at that price

Reliable Festool but a little disappointing
This is a simple fence and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It could and would benefit from a scale so you don't have to fiddle with a tape or rule when you set it. The clamps are solid, reliable but could do with more. Don't get me wrong I use this every couple of days and it's very good, but it could be better.
