Rarely does one encounter a product with such superb form, function and simplicity. The 500 lumens of light on the silver reflective post is robust. The round base holds the batteries in a waterproof compartment. Not only are there four magnets to hold the light, but there is a built-in hook to suspend the light from a closet bar or any non-ferromagnetic surface. (So you do not need to scout around for something metal if you desire to hang the light.) It is so well made and designed that the two handles actually tuck in to grooves on the round structure so that accidental opening or turning on is prevented. The light itself telescopes so that the amount of light radiated can be controlled based upon the distance that you choose. The plastic is smooth with no rough edges. This product is a true gem. Let me state that this is a real review and not some scam review.

These lanterns are what I was looking for. They are very bright, lightweight, and the 4-pack gave me one for each member of the family. I got them after enduring a long evening/night without power, and as we all know, flashlights just don't cut it. Luckily, we've only had to call them into action once since they arrived (I bought them on August 6, 2020), and they answered the call of duty.However, I needed two of them tonight (1-2-2021...less than 5 months later) and one lantern would not light. When I took the bottom off to see if it was the batteries, I encountered a white mess of corrosion. It seems that one of the batteries that came with the product had gone bad, and spewed its guts all over the inside. I've cleaned out the corrosion as much as possible (toothpicks work great), and added new batteries, but the lantern simply will not light. It seems the corrosion has messed something up in the lantern. And then I noticed that one of the three circular magnets on the bottom is gone...it still "holds on" upside down with the 2 magnets that remain, but it just seems that that particular lantern is jinxed!Now I need to decide whether to buy a single lantern, or tell someone in the family that they're back to the flashlight. Not sure how to contact the company to tell them this...maybe they would have replaced it.So, silly as this sounds, I recommend the product, but I wouldn't trust the batteries for very long. I think I'm going to invest in 3 AA batteries for the 3 remaining lanterns and avoid having this happening again with the lower quality batteries that came with the set...but "batteries included" was one of their selling features. And as we all know, when you have to buy 12 name brand AA batteries, that adds to the cost significantly.

These lamps are terrific. If the power goes out they are more than worth every penny. They are lightweight and extremely bright. They illuminate quite a large area and the magnets on the bottom make them incredibly convenient should the power go out. They are also great to keep in your car as you can use the magnets to stick on your hood while working on your car. I suppose also great for the undercarriage. I bought a set for myself and a set as a gift as we live in an area where power outages do sometimes happen. Definitely definitely recommend.

These are PERFECT!. I got them for each room in the house. They are small which is great, don't take up a lot of room. But they are so bright! Yikes. I am very happy with them. I got the 4 pack, and it was a great plus that alkaline batteries were included. 12 of these batteries in the store would cost as much as the lanterns did. Great buy!! I didn't want a great big bulky lantern, so these are great. You can store one in each room, with no problem. No buttons or anything to switch on. Just pull up the handle and they come on. So easy.

Seriously these lantern are so bright that I think I could illuminate the neighborhood! They are excellent however much light is exposed and the magnetic bottoms are pretty rugged and strong. I haven’t gotten to hang them yet but if you intend to use camping I’m confident they’ll do well. I have other lanterns that are similar in design but they are no where near as bright or versatile. These are a must buy!

I am totally happy with this purchase! These are great little lanterns for the cost. Bright, simple as can be to use, and convenient to have the strong magnets at the bottom if you need to secure to a metal surface. They also have a little 1" hook recessed into the bottom so they can be hung, if needed. While housing is plastic, it seems good quality. The only thing I had any issue with at all, and it was very minor, was threading the base back on after installing the included batteries. But I'd definitely recommend and would buy again, for sure. Perfect for keeping for emergency or camping lighting. Love 'em!

Before I bought them I knew the lanterns were small and I knew I was getting four of them in one order. So my expectations of brightness weren’t high. They run on 3 AA batteries so how bright can they really be. Wow I put in the batteries and had to turn away. Unexpectingly bright. Plus the bottom is magnetic and there’s a hook on the bottom allowing them to hang.Looks like they are pretty durable too. Seems like a good deal! If you are looking for lanterns you may want to give this one a try.

Every year during hurricane season I seem to have to replace my emergency lights due to other people "borrowing them" - this case gives you 4 lights - just remember to get them back! Great lights with a lantern styling so that they can be hung to provide more light. I like the fact that they are a little stiff to open - that way if hanging, they don't just slide open.
