The Hoophouse Handbook Second Edition Perfect Paperback – December 20, 2014

I should have paid more attention to the listing for this "book." I put off buying it for a long time, because the price was a little high. I was shocked when it arrived because it is not a book, it's a 60 page magazine. For $23. The majority of the book is a series of one to three page articles by different people about their hoophouse experiences. The section on materials, design and construction is 16 pages long. Most of those pages are pictures. For under $20, buy  The Winter Harvest Handbook: Year Round Vegetable Production Using Deep Organic Techniques and Unheated Greenhouses  and get far more detailed and practical information on hoophouses and similar season extenders.

A lot of information in this book about hoophouse and greenhouse growing. I wish the time frame for growing flowers was included. I would recommend this book.

I bought this hoping for a more detailed plan of actually building a hoop house, hopefully one scalable to the size I want. The information is great, don't get me wrong. It just didn't have what I really needed.It is also short on info for adapting both flowering times and fruiting times to one's USDA growing zone.

Wonderful compilation of articles by many talented growers. Great advice offered in an easy to read format. I read it from cover to cover the first night. Couldn't put it down.

This book helped me immensely. It covered all aspects of growing and installing a hoophouse. Not only did it provide valuable general information, it had articles from actual growers and their experiences. I would highly recommend this book.
