The vertical locking collar had a defective weld causing the tab to break within days of installation. General marine called me about my email inquiry to understand my problem. Replacement parts arrived in 2 days and installed in minutes. The design of the collar was improved and the weld along the bottom was solid- these whips are perfect for my 24’ pontoon boat.

Too limp Went the premium route and kind of regret it. The swivel to vertical is a nice feature, the bases are well made, but the whips are just too soft. Doesn’t keep boat off the bulkhead on gusty days, and at 2,500 lbs my boat is on the light end of what the manufacturer rates these whips for.

They were easy enough to put together but two things don't work well...1) these are more expensive because you can supposedly keep them vertical when not in use so they don't have over the water, but the locking mechanism is so shallow and weak that they NEVER stay vertical. EVER. I've even tried multiple strong bungee cords to keep them vertical but they continue to fall. 2) I'm no engineer but it seems counterintuitive to have the ROUND rod insert into a SQUARE anchor, and with only one set screw to keep it in place. Someone definitely paid to have this product 'qualify' as best of the best. Expensive and not worth it.

Nice mounting bracket easy Installation used larger lug screws . Own a 32 ft boat 12000 lbs. in strong winds whips will not keep boat off dock but competing brand at twice the price don't either. Good product for the money

A bracket piece was missing with the shipment. "Sam" helped me get the missing pieces promptly without any fuss. Our boat arrived today for the summer season. I installed the whips after it arrived. The whips are working great as advertised.

Good but the pulleys at the top get tangled easily

Total Grabage, THe poles break on first use. THe base instantly corrodes, the plastic pops off, there is simply not one componet worth mentioning that even works. Worse yet, they are selling cheap garbage and they are not honoring their return policies. We expect to have to sue them and complain to better busines bureau. Hopefully you will see that the quality products cost a bit more, but dont make the mistake we made, it was enticing but now we are out several hudred dollars and they kept our monies and the product after we returned them!

Works good for my needs put pulley on end of pole should be upgraded way to small and binds !!!!!!!
