Ordered these because with my new job I have accumulated an obscene amount of keys. I've always used the cable key chains for my everyday carry because they are light weight and don't add any extra bulk to the keys.Only complaint I have is the picture clearly shows a darker (slightly gun metal grey) colored nickel wire. They are very clearly just regular nickel. Even though the plastic bag they came in says black nickel, the invoice says black nickel, and the receipt, the product I received is regular nickel. Not a huge deal, but disappointing to be deceived like that.Obviously this doesn't effect the actual function of the item, and is merely cosmetic. But just wanted everyone to know before they buy it.In the pictures, you can tell they're regular nickel. And in comparison, the one I've used for roughly 8 years...

These cables have a bad problem of coming apart on the swivel end.

I like the concept here, a study steel wire, twisted to hold keys. I really like the industrial design. I do not like that fact that over time, the screw portions unscrew in your pocket, and that's with only a few keys. I am not stressing it. I think it is very strong, but when the thing comes apart, my keys come off in pocket, or I have dropped keys. A real pain. So what do you do? Add keys, then add a drop of epoxy or supergluing to the threads, and tighten. You may even be able to insert a piece of electrical tape. This would secure the thread and keep it from coming apart. if it stayed together, it would be great. They can be used for something else, hanging plants, or some other use, so not a total loss.

I thought, for the price, these were going to be cheap and would probably come unscrewed quite easily. Boy, was I wrong. These are very well made, and I've used one as a key chain for a few weeks now, and it seems to be screwed together just as tightly now as it was when I put my keys on it. I purchased these to use with personalized tags as key rings; mine has held so well that I also plan to make some as luggage tags; I fully expect them to hold up well even on international flights (which,from here in Oklahoma, ALWAYS means connecting flights or layovers).Great product. I plan on buying more as I need to.

Not six inches. Not "black." I ordered these keychains twice in two weeks. None were 6 inches long (one set was 6.25" and the other set was 7"). Neither was "black." The shorter ones were a darker nickel color - significantly lighter in color than the picture indicates. The longer ones were a bright nickel color. If exact color or length is an issue for your intended use - it was for me - don't expect the description to match what you'll receive. If you just want a fairly well-constructed wire with functioning threaded clasp, this product (at least the two different versions I received) will work fine for you.

I got these to keep a memory stick on my keys that would be removable but also feel secure that it would stay on. The cable seems strong and I really like the color. I did find it a little more difficult to undo than I was expecting, but found that if I would the two sides as straight as possible it makes it easier.

Works great for an active lifestyle.

Very sturdy. I was unable to pull one apart, even by hanging one on a pull up bar and suspending my weight of 160lbs from it. They aren't rated for that sort of thing, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Not recommended for actually supporting your weight!For securing keys and things to backpacks, these are fantastic. They can be screwed together to make a longer loop if needed.
