Mil-Tec Unisex Shemagh - Multifunctional Cotton Lightweight Breathable Tactical Outdoor Scarf/Face Camouflage/Headscarf

I've owned few shemaghs and this one is the highest quality I've purchased for a lower price than the others. Very well constructed/weaved and tied. One thing I've noticed on all of these shemaghs is that they need to be washed, thoroughly soaked in soapy water, to soak out the dyes and whatever chemicals they used in manufacture. Hang to dry since some (I suspect most) would shrink in a dryer. I tossed one in the washing machine with other clothes and hung to dry with no noticeable damage, but I prefer to hand-wash in the sink or shower then hang to dry to better preserve the material.

I now have 2 Shemaghs, both from different sellers, and this one is by far the best. Great size, I have a 7 1/2 hat size, and great material quality. The color didn't fade, even washing is on the delicate cycle in a machine. It took WAY less time to receive than the estimated arrival time. I'm thinking of buying another from this seller.

I ordered the shemagh with the color choice of coyote/brown. On my monitor, it appeared to be tan with burgundy running through it. Which kind of appealed to me, so I thought I'd take a chance. Nope. It is definitely coyote/brown. Well, khaki, with coyote brown running through it. It's really nice, it's just that I already have one in this color scheme, but that's ok. Now I have two. Nice shemagh.

Mine was coyote/brown. I thought it was supposed to be tan/burgundy. I’m okay with the item, but it wasn’t the color I ordered.

I wrap this around my head like the wrap I wore in Vietnam nearly fifty years ago. The kids think I'm crazy and they're probably right but old age is making me nostalgic, I even remember the worst year of my life fondly nowadays. When I was there all I could think about was going home, now I talk about it like it was a great time.

Received item two days before the estimated arrival time frame. Soft, comfortable, keeps me warm in this Seattle weather and I use it as my face cover when I go outside of my home. I Love it. Worth my time and money

Not exactly authentic/what I was looking for. This is more a fashion accessory than a statement piece, but it is durable and useful!

Ahh, the Shemagh... Purchased for all the things a shemagh can be; just a sheet of cloth with tassels, but potentially so much more. I admit to reviewing this after only a short ownership and only one wash, but I always update my reviews if needed. This then is a basic impressions and overview (for now). It's good quality. The subtle pattern isn't printed, it's formed from varying textures. Parts of the cloth are like thin towelling (see photos), which gives the shemagh a wonderful waffled feel. Looking closely at the weave and thread, it is (surprisingly) good. I was half expecting is to be cheap rubbish (worth a shot though), but it's really very good. For (black in my case) cotton, it held its colour well through a 40° intensive cycle, but obviously, don't put it in with your whites! There's really quite a lot of it, for storage in a pocket. Even tightly rolled, it's about the size of two full size tea mugs end to end. The waffled texture makes it rather good as a warm scarf, which is somewhat counter intuitive for cotton; it traps a lot of air when folded a few times. But it's still ideal for a lightweight head and neck cover in hot weather, and perfect for utilising evaporative cooling if it's very hot. Aside from all the things a shemagh can be (could get very long winded) - this is a good quality product.
