Works great. Doesn’t overheat like the cheap one from Harbor freight. Get what you pay for nowadays. And I’m a real person saying this is good to buy.

Works exactly as advertised! I needed to strip 3 layers of paint/bondo from a 1970 Cadillac Deville coupe, and this was up to the task. Bought the grey scotch bright wheel, pricy!, but that 1 wheel got through the entire car! This is the next best thing to having a full sized sandblaster!

I have put this through the paces and am very pleased with the quality of the tool. It works well at stripping outer layers of paint from cars but does struggle with the factory paint. I suppose this is more a testament to the quality of the factory paint process.

I’ve got maybe 10 different sanders, from belt to disks to blocks. This bests them all. I’ve so far done a load of fencing, 2 decks, and a huge wall of siding. If you push firmly with the black paint removing drum, you can bare wood in one pass. One tip- if the drum is bidirectional, flip it over if it wears to one side. Once you wear the other side down a little you end up with a drum that sticks out in the middle, which is actually really useful when sanding siding that is concave in the middle.

Good quality. 4" Wheels are expensive and this will not fit cheaper wheels which are 4-1/2 or 4-3/4.

Great product for what you pay!

I bought this with the wire brush to clean a stack of barn wood from a barn I was taking down. When it arrived, I was surprised by the weight. This thing is heavy! I think that means it frame and interior parts contain very little plastic--probably all metal gearing although I did not take it apart. I used it for about fours hours continuously. Never faltered! I got the work done in the time referenced. It would have taken me at least 40 hours to do this job with a hand held wire brush and not done as well. This was, however, the dirtiest job I have done in years. Dust everywhere. I used a rare N950 face mask here instead of wearing it to shop. Covid-19 could not be more dangerous than the mess I was making. Anyway, ir did a great job even though I may never use it again.

the first thing you notice is the solid build and the weight and feel. this is a dedicated tool and not a repurposed grinder. putting it to work it runs smooth and handles well. with a paint and rust removal drum it made easy work in strpping '64 B body doors. so far it is an impressive tool. my only neg. is the 500+ bucks it set me back for the tool and drum. hopefully I don't regret it.

Use it for auto body work. Find it to be slow even with heavy grit nylon wheels. Do most prep work with angle grinder and nylon discs because it’s much faster, then use this to do final metal prep for best results.

Works like a charm.
