does the job
This welders magnet gets the job done. It doesn't quite have enough power to hold some things in place during welding but it is a nice addition to the tool box. If you need a very strong magnet then this is not it.

welder magnets
thanks to folks who responded to my question about them. they are strong enough to hold my rip fence on the side of my table saw while i use the miter gauge to cut other wood. very happy with them!!!!!
