Does this motor have full rotation? I noticed one comment said it oscillates only 1/4 turn. Is it a continuous rotation or does it oscillate?

It's suppose to rotate continuously. Mine oscillated a 1/4 turn back and forth, never making a full rotation. I returned it and bought a different one for a little more $ on Amazon (50 lb motor from a competitor) and am extremely satisfied.

Does anyone know the speed of rotation?

I can't answer with specific info, but from my experience I would say most grill rotisserie motors are geared down to turn at about 10 RPM. Some may be a bit faster or slower, but I think that is pretty close.

I noticed this motor is for 40 lbs. Many state it won't turn this much. How much torque does it have? I noticed competitors list the in/lbs. of torque

the motor has 16in/lbs of torque.thanks!

My OEM Brinkmann motor was rated at 4 watts, just like this one, but Brinkmann says "not more than 12 lbs." What makes this one rated at 40 lbs.?

Nothing; it should be rated at 12 lb as well. I had an 18 pound turkey and it could not even come close to turning it over.
