WaxWel Paraffin - 6 x 1-lb Blocks - Citrus Fragrance

I ended up dumping all the wax that came with my paraffin bath - it had way too much fragrance (when heated it made my whole house smell) and not the right consistency - it went on thin and brittle and left wax under my fingernails - ugh. I asked at the place where I was getting physical therapy for my hand, and this is the wax they use. When I put this in my paraffin bath it worked just fine, and I had the same results at home. Great stuff! I bought the unscented version.

I'm not using this as one would expect - not using for a spa treatment. I picked this up because the paraffin was cheaper than buying a brick at the local hobby store locally and it was already in pellets. I am using this for making my own firelogs using this and wood shavings created by the turning and other woodworking I do on a routine basis. Really easy, mix wood shavings into melted paraffin until it is as thick as oatmeal and put into a form (I used scrap mdf from the shop) that is lined with wax paper to facilitate easy removal.

Well, don't expect to get beads, because what you will receive is a melted block of beads. They were shipped in the middle of winter, so it didn't happen in shipping or on my porch.On the bright side, it does seem to be 6 one pound packages of paraffin wax. But don't pay extra to get beads, because you will definitely receive 6 blocks of wax.

These arrived a bit melted together, but once they started to warm up (I know, I wasn’t supposed to touch it while it was warming... but...) they broke apart easily and melted quickly. There is no scent, which is perfect because the wax that came with the warmer was way too strong. The wax seems perfect for this purpose, and left my hands warm and super soft. Hopefully it’ll melt quickly again after cooling down.

This wax has a very mild, pleasant scent. It did not need any added oils. It has some kind of oil in it, just perfect so it peels nicely, easily, from my hands.It was also lower cost than most. I planned to add some Vanilla Essential Oil to the wax, but have decided to leave it as it is. I like it's very mild scent. So, I'd prefer to use any scent separately, not in the wax.Besides the pain relieving benefits of hot wax treatments, this wax leaves my hands very soft. Some people use it just for that without arthritis.

This wax really is scent free. I have very sensitive skin, I'm even allergic to aloe. So it was very nice to fine a unscented wax that did not bother my allergies. The wax melts well, the 3 lbs. my machine takes melts in 11/2 to 2 hours. I will definitely be ordering more when I need a refill.

Got a wax unit as a gift for the holiday and it came with scented wax that you could smell from the other side of the house. Did not even try to use it because it was so overpowering. It took days to ventilate the unit and the mittens to get rid of the sent.The unscented was has been great. Melts easily, builds up nicely and seams to be working great so far.

The price is right on these and they work well. I do add just a splash of baby oil to it when using it in my paraffin bath. But as a cheaper alternative I can deal with that. The melting point is around 120 degrees so it heats up fast.
