Jonard Tools FC-500 Precision Fiber Optic Cleaver | For 250µm and 900µm Fiber Cable with 16 Position Blades

This has been my favorite cleaver so far. The largest issue I have had with it is due to the install site. Not all sites have a nice flat surface in order to work on, which you kind of need for this tool. The main cleaver clamp that holds the fiber in place while being cleaved has a tendency to close itself, if it's not level. This repeated action, due to working conditions, caused me to end up rotating the cutting blade (cleaver) after less than 100 cuts, when it's supposed to be 30000 cuts.

Very good cleaver for that money, about 800 cleaves for good angles 0-0.9 for one rotation.

Does the job. But I had many reburns. I only use it as back up

This is a good cleaver. It comes with a hard case to keep it in. I recommend it if you do fiber optic work.

I recently did my first fiber terminations with this, and so far so good. Single mode fiber no less.

Excellent cleaves every single time. 99% successful cuts through different conditions.

Bought this cleaver on September 28, after one month of use it was not working as supposed to, the pushing tab was broken and I’m not able to cut a fiber without breaking It also breaks the fiber sometimes with the pressure of the top rubber part

Very nice little tool and works as it should. Cheaper alternative to bigger name brands. It is manual so the time this tool takes to cleave is a bit longer but still worth buying. Great job on this one! Will buy again.

Really worth it.
