These Are $500 Headphones
About 2 years ago I wanted a pair of in-ear headphones with good sound quality. I was getting tired of listening to the AirPods Pros and needed something fatter that could offer more detail & depth. I originally spent $300 on the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and at first I liked them, but could tell no matter how loud I made them, there was still this "hollowed out" sound I couldn't sit with. They sounded good, but it wasn't enough. After researching Sennheiser's website I found their most expensive In-Ear Headphones at the time The IE 80s BT for $500. Built in DAC. Lossless Bluetooth Audio Codecs. I didn't know much about digital audio converters or bluetooth codecs but I knew wired was better, because I used to have the Bose QC15 and going wireless was never the same. These headphones essentially brought the resolution comparable to CD quality. What a leap in Technology! I check amazon, and it's on sale for $300! The same price as the Momentums! Perfect! The sound quality was exactly what I was looking for. I have the Nuraphones, I have the Sennhieser 6xx from Massdrop, I have a pair of Yamaha HS5 studio monitors. Sony wh-1000xm2, Bose Quietcomfort 15 & 20 and late IE2 Bose in-ear headphones. I have Skullcandy ink'd, AirPods and AirPods pro. When I want full immersion for my listening, the IE 80s BT are my go to every time. These headphones will change the way you listen to music, and are well worth the compromises. I compromise on form factor and battery life for high fidelity audio. Using the comply tips they fit snuggly in the ear, and so comfortable I easily forget about them. The loop around the ear so they stay in, sometimes it can get annoying with glasses or wearing a mask around my ears, but again worth the slight inconvenience. Watching movies are incredible... You get so much detail the sound brings you into the scene. You can put them at full volume and literally feel the kick drum and snare hits beating against your eardrum. The sound stage is impeccable... after 2 years of using these headphones they still manage to exceed my expectations. The sound is remarkable and they do not disappoint. There are hiccups with the product... I prefer to have an uninterrupted listening experience but occasionally the headphones will say "headphones disconnected" then immediately resume. I know the bluetooth codecs are transmitting a lot of data, but it doesn't need to waste its breath to tell me it skipped like a vinyl record. Another slight annoyance is sometimes upon powering on the connection says it's there but the music doesn't play, so then I have to hold the power button so it goes into pairing as restarts....because the pairing button is the power button. I appreciate the onboard volume control. They are soft and click, and they move the volume in half steps so you can find the perfect volume to fill your ears. Theres also a little beep when you reach the highest volume so you know the limit. I wish there was a way to turn off that functionality but it's easy to live with. The manual base adjustment is great... just set it to the middle... too much bass can cause ear fatigue and cloud the music, and too little isn't enough. I lost my bass adjustment key so it's staying there :D They also come in handy for phone calls or discord when I'm cross platform gaming with friends, because I can wear the gaming headset over one ear and still talk through the mic around the neck loop. I recommend these headphones to any friend that appreciates listening to music, I even buy it for family & friends as birthday presents because this purchase has brought the simple pleasure of good listening back to it's ideal state. in my life, and they were $300 at the time.

Great sound quality, but some shortcomings.
I wanted cordless hi fidelity earbuds, but had some budget limitations. These met my needs expectations to a degree. When they are used with the cordless neckband, they are only OK. They simply don't generate the volume I was looking for and the battery life is only so-so. And the neck band isn't as liberating as having fully wireless, independent ear buds. HOWEVER, they are convertible for use with a cord. While this eliminates the cordless feature, it also eliminates the battery life issue. More importantly, the sound is superb and plays notably louder. Bottom line: get 'em for the sound quality, but get the connection cord so you can utilize them both ways.

Amazing set of behind the neck headphones
Lets start by addressing the critical reviews. Those people are being waayyyyy to picky about this product. First this product is 3 years old at this point and you are getting an insane discount for this kind of sound quality. This is supposed to give you amazing sound quality with the convenience of a neckband with controls and bluetooth connection. Thats exactly what it does while delivering some of the best sound quality i have heard from any audio source. (Granted ive never tried the real high end stuff but these compare to the mid/high end stuff i have tried) sure the battery life isnt amazing but it gets me through my workday and then i can recharge for an hour and they are ready by the time i leave for school at night. If you have a portable charger and you juice up on breaks youd easily last the whole workday with nonstop listening. If your wanting to charge as little as possible then you should look at something else. I work in a fabrication shop and have very loud grinders/welders/saws running all the time. My previous headphones struggled to get loud enough to overcome the noise. These headphones come with ear sealing tips so they create awesome sound isolation from everything. I can have the loudest equipment running and if i have a good seal on my eartips then i can only hear my music/podcast. If you work in any kind of loud environment and want good isolation from that then these do amazing. Just want to clarify these do not have "sound canceling". They have "sound isolation" which in my opinion is wayyyyy better for my purpose. My ears dont like sound canceling and it makes my head feel off. These creat such a good seal that i feel like im in my own world of music. Im rabling now so bottom line is these are amazing headphones. They are for the person who values the listening experience a lot while needing bluetooth and good sound isolation.

Avoid the IE80S BT and buy the wired IE80S.
Summary: I believe this is a failed attempt at creating a wireless set of earphones for audiophiles. Sound Quality: I owned the old IE80 For 6 years now and I was extremely disappointed when I tried those for the first time. I could not believe that IE80s BT is a true Sennheiser IE series. Yes, the sound is clear and yes the base and soundstage are OK. But these are nothing compared to the old IE80 even over the AAC codec (using Iphone XS). Actually, everything about the IE80s BT is very toned down version of what I am used to with the old earphones (base, volume, punch, clarity). Because I love the Sennheiser brand and was skeptic about the sound quality, I decided to remove the earphones from the bluetooth extension and plug them into the old IE80 cable. And..... WOW, The difference is night and day. The awesome sound expected from this pair of earbuds is back. The deep base, the instruments separation, the clarity and sound stage are all very apparent. Suddenly, the music started sending chills through my spine. This is how Sennheiser IE series should sound. They are even better than my old IE80 which were the best earphones I have ever tried. It turns out that the bluetooth extension is a useless piece of technology that has dramatically deteriorated the sound quality in an attempt to make those earphones wireless. Sennheiser, please do not do such compromise again! Battery Life: The battery life is below average, if you listen to music every day and use the IE80s BT for phone calls/ audio conferences (now that we are all working from home), you will find yourself in need to charge it almost every day. Features: Nothing that deserves to be noticed. It does give however an indication on when the battery is charged or needs to be recharged. I could also say that the ear hooks design is comfortable and the neck band is light. The smartphone app is very basic. Bottom Line: If you are an audiophile looking for true Sennheiser that gives justice to sound quality, buy the wired IE80S. If sound is not your thing and you are after some good earbuds but wireless is what matters to you, then the airpods pro will be a much better option from price/ battery life and features perspective.

If you love music. It's worth it.
I have a pair of Sennheiser HD1 Wireless earbuds. I like them a lot. They were the best I had to date. The only thing I can really say that the HD 1's could improve on, is that when I listen to my other headphones that are wired the wired set provides me with more detail. I can't really fault the HD 1'S for that. They are blutooth, so I can accept that. When I saw this set was coming out. I was curious if they could deliver the extra detail I was listening for. THEY DO!!!! They sound better than my wired set and are more comfortable. I listen to them with the volume maxed out and they sound awesome. Great bass which can be adjusted. Treble isn't to bright or tinny sounding. Battery life is good. Between 5 and 6 hours, at full volume maybe slightly less. They fit comfortably are very light and they rest over the shoulders without getting in the way. Great ear tip selection and the case is decent. The one thing you could debate is if they are worth $500.00. If music really matters to you, yes they are worth it. BUT...the HD1'S are very good and worth every penny of the $120.00 - $150.00 you might pay. So if you find yourself listening to music all the time. I think you'll be very happy. If you just need a set to the gym with. Or listening occasionally I would suggest Sennheiser HD1's. Hope this helps out.

I feel like I got ripped off
I've been a Sennheiser fan for 15+ years and given them $1000s. When I purchased this it was the most expensive Sennheiser product I've ever bought and I only bought this cause my much loved HD1s were destroyed by a cat. Pros: Sound Quality Weight Cons: Battery Life is a Joke Hard to get sealed in my ear no matter which tips I use Charge Speed In an effort to keep this brief, in conclusion, this feel like I received a cheap Chinese knockoff.

Why not a single company can nail both sound quality and good user experience in a neckband?
I have had tried a number of Sennheiser headphones over the years, some wired, some wireless and was overall pleased with the performance and user experience. I had very high hopes for these earphones. I'll start with the good. Bluetooth works pretty well. There is occasional stutter, but you can't have perfect reception in every environment. The sound quality is decent. The build quality is excellent. The kit is great and even includes Comply tips. The silicone tip size increment seems smaller than average, meaning that the size difference between small and medium is less that what I have experienced with other brands. Example: normally, I use smallest silicone tips, in this case, medium provided perfect fit, and large is just a tad too big. Basically, better fitting options, at least for people with small to medium ear canals. Cables are soft and sturdy. During a phonecall, the mics pass through some ambient sound, I suppose, to prevent people from yelling. USB-C connector Now, the bad. For some obscure reason, despite positioning as audiophile, the sound adjustment dial is factory pre-set to maximum bass. Would not be the middle a better option (if not the minimum)? Whoever decided to assign the buttons to functions, clearly did not spend even an hour trying the product: there are four buttons: three have one function each (voice assistant, volume up, volume down). Then there is the middle button that does: power on/off, pairing, accept/end/decline call, play/pause, next/previous track. Not too much for one button? At minimum, the track control could have been put on the volume buttons. The buttons have almost no tactile feel, so after a month of daily use I am still fumbling around trying to find the right button. There is no option to pass through the sound and lower the volume while listening to music. Meaning that one HAS to remove one of the earphones whenever needing to hear something. Clumsy. The music needs to be stop Battery life is shorter than a working day, even without a commute (6 hours). 1.5 hour charge time is waay to long. Despite having the USB-C connector, the charging speed is that of USB 2.x A chromebook with probably 50-100 larger battery charges faster than that. 1.5 hour charge time is waay to long, especially considering the battery life. The app seems useless. It allows for software equalizer, auto-off/auto-call accept and seeing which codec is used. That is it. On top of that, it takes >30 seconds to communicate with the headset that is already connected to the bluetooth. Regarding the software EQ: why even have it when the driver response can be tuned physically? BTW, the software EQ does not even have presets. Given all that, the price tag is extremely high, IMO.

Impressive Hi Resolution sound from Blue tooth? YES!
Firstly, I am a biased to Sennheiser products and have several of their headphones and earbuds. With that said, just recently my Sennheisser wired IE 30's left channel failed after 3 years of use. So when I saw these BT S 80's on sale at 70 percent off list price of $499 USD, I figured I would give them a try. I have always preferred to use wired headphones and/or ear buds ever since I bought my first LG V20 phone which had a quad DAC (Digital to Analog converter). Of course few phones have head phone jacks anymore let alone an internal DAC. I have an LG V60 (has quad DAC) and an LG Velvet (no Quad DAC). I planned to use the LG Velvet with the BT S 80 ear buds. Looks like BT S 80's have an internal DAC on board and that they support the newest APTx HD codec, I did some research on this codec stuff and found that APTx and APTx HD was good stuff, but I wondered if I could get near Hi Resolution sound over Blue tooth as advertised, but I was skeptical. Before I ordered the Sennheiser BT S 80's I verified that I had APTx or APTx HD bluetooth codec on my LG Velvet. My music source is You Tube Premium. Yeah I know that You Tube's not a Hi Resolution source. When I paired the BT S 80's to my LG Velvet, I went into Blue tooth settings and set the Codec to APTx HD. My phone actually prompted me to do so since the phone recognized that the BT S 80 buds where able to support APTx HD. Cool stuff! So how is the sound? Darned close to what I get over a wire with my HD600 headphones when connected to my LG V60 or FiiO X3. The only down side I see with the BT S 80 is the 6 hour battery life. Not a big deal for me. I think these are a great value at $134 USD and the sound is very impressive.

Excelente sonido
Tiene una calidad de sonido espectacular, mejor de lo que esperaba, son muy cómodos al punto que ni se sienten. El único problema que les veo es que la batería dura muy poco, los tengo que cargar un día sí y un día no.

Fantastic sound in poor battery life.
Fantastic sound , best for play classical. Highly recommended if you don’t mind charging twice a day, get cable soon. Good on phone call and stable connection to your phone.

Fallaron desde el inicio
No funcionó. La batería de los audífonos no retenía la carga. Afortunadamente no hubo problemas con el reembolso. No tuve oportunidad de usarlos.

Overall a nice IEM
PRO: detached cable which means you can use it as wired IE 80s Sound quality not the greatest but MUCH better than most truly wireless earbuds easy to wear and you won't lost them CON: battery life was just OK if not bad. (average 4-5hrs for music, 2-3hrs for talk) too expensive the IE80s BT is essentially the same IE80s but with a detachable BT receiver. for this price, there is a lot of other choices in terms of better sound quality and/or portability. But if you love music and doesn't want to go with third party BT DAC then this might be good option for you, plus you can still use it as wired IE80s (requires separate cable, not included). The only issue for me is battery life, with 4-5 hours music play I have to charge it daily.

Practico aunque poco manuable
