You could use them for long periods. I mean, it doesn't harden if you use it a little bit and leave the rest.

To ensure complete longevity it is suggested to use a preservative like Bloxigen, however, in most cases you may see a thin layer of hardened material across the top after being open for a while. Just peel that off and throw it away then mix it up real good and continue to use no problem!

How often should I use this on my walnut countertops? I already applied the odors oil and it has cured for a couple of weeks.

You might check out Odie’s YouTube videos.

what are the ingredients of this product? Is it a good choice for a butcher block countertop and food utensils?

The specific ingredients are not listed, however it is all plant based. Once cured, the oil or butter makes a great food safe finish.

How long after applying Odie's oil should you apply the wood butter?

Wait 24 to 48 hrs after buffing off the oil to apply the butter. The consistency of the Odie’s Butter makes application and buffing slightly more difficult, but I like the end result of a “soft” finish.
