As described, the sponge filter is easy to install and use, seem to work well as I've only used it for a couple of months, not much else to say about it. Good product.

Still super job
I used this in conjunction with a Aqua Clear filter for a 10 gallon tank. This little filter gave the tank that little extra help. Highly recommend when you can’t clean as often as you should.1/31/22 Update- The filter has been in use for over a month and the water is CLEAR. Glad I found it and I highly recommend it.

It does what it’s meant to do
The media could not be loaded. It’s my first time using a sponge filter. I’ve always used hang back filters, but I realized that sponge filters are way cheaper and create a less moving environment for fish. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Excellent Value for Money, Could Be Better
This is definitely a functional sponge filter. It is easy to attach airline tubing to unit and place it in the tank. This product does have some issues that hold it back. First, there is no way to attach an airstone without modifying the product, which is a standard feature in most sponge filters. Most importantly, even after squeezing all of he air out of the sponge, it still has a tendency to move around. This could easily be fixed by using a weighted base. However, this sponge filter does what it is meant to do. It works. It's fine. It's good value. I would say that this is an almost-great product at a great price.

The filter has worked very very nicely. I’d like to try to more coarse filter for this one is on the finer side but its great!! I’d like to mention though that I️ did have to do some alterations to it to put an air stone inside. :)

Wanted an air stone in mine, some of the other reviews go in more detail about how to go about doing it, and that was the only bit of pain I had with this product - which really doesn't have anything to do with how it functions, seems okay to me in my 10 gallon.

good filter
works great. water clears quickly along with the hang on 20 filter. easy to clean when necessary.

had some problems
if i let my air pump run on full the entire top of the water splashes everywhere. but it came with a check valve and air flow control so it solved the issue itself. would only use as secondary filtration
