Very durable, easy on and off
Our dog seems to behave better when she has this collar on. We use mostly for training purposes, not all the time when she's on lead.

Works to stop pulling
I tried a few fancy harnesses. They didn't work. The Gentle Leader worked some but my dog hated it. I didn't want to use a large prong collar & a friend in our training class recommended this. This is for a smaller dog, she has a standard poodle & I have a Golden. So she suggested I also purchase extra prongs. This collar is well made. I read reviews about the cover for the clasp that slides off. Mind did but it's fine without it. Regular prong collars don't have a clasp & are quite difficult to put on & take off. This works easily. It's also not as visible. I put it on my hand & it doesn't hurt at all & my beautifulpup doesnt looke like Bruno. My dog immediately stopped pulling. On occasion she still will, but I don't have to worry about her pulling me over or pulling away. She's 4 now & I wish I had this from the beginning. Recently she passed her 2nd therapy dog test walking perfectly through a mall with only her regular collar & leash! I still will use it though as a cautionary measure. This collar is expensive but worth it. Those who've had strong pullers, even pulling small dogs, will so appreciate its effectiveness. It should last years.

Worth Ten Stars
Our dog trainer recommended this particular brand and model. With collar in place, she walks without yanking your arm out of its socket. Magical. Without this collar, even my husband can’t do it. Easy to use, with slider in addition to snap closure. As dog grows, additional links are easy to attach.

Bought this to replace my 12 year old one
I love this collar. I started using my old small prong stainless collar (with extra prongs added on) about 12+ years ago with my 100# exuberant lab. It stopped her pulling (especially when her nose was down on a scent) and when she was just showing that lab exuberance. When I lost her from cancer last year, I got a 2 year old rescue Aussie that was abused, not socialized, and very fear reactive. When I got her from the rescue, she was still healing where a shock collar had had to be surgically removed from her neck and I didn’t want her pulling on her neck. I used my old collar this past year on her and it really did the trick with her training and reactiveness without her pulling, choking, and not hurting her. I noticed the other day that the plastic that you push to unlatch it had a big crack going through it and I was forced to buy a new one. (And those that are concerned about that little slide falling off, I used my old one for over a decade without it with no issues) I did give this one 4 stars instead of 5 not because of the collar itself. It was because it seems to me that over the years, the Sprenger prongs that came on this collar have been downsized a little bit in both length and weight/thickness . I had to add one more link on this one than I’ve been using with her with the old one. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend this collar. I’ve gone to a low key class with my dogs for years for fun and socializing and many in that class have liked my collar so much that they’ve purchased it, too.

Works great with my energetic puppy
I like that the size is adjustable as my puppy is still growing. He doesn't seem to mind the collar but it also keeps him from pulling. He's very strong and I needed something to help me control him a bit.

Instant improvement for my German Shepherd
I have a six year old 85 pound working line German shepherd. We used to live backed up to an 1800 acre park with about 40 miles of trails. Early on I trained all the basics. Sit, down, stay, come, drop on recall and stay close when we were in the woods. Heal was never really a thing. I never used a leash. Well we moved and don’t live on a park anymore. He needs a lot of exercise every day which we do with a frisbee or tennis ball. I do however like to walk. Walking him was a nightmare. It wasn’t his fault I never trained him to walk on a leash. The problem is he is a high drive 85 pound dog and he about rips my arm out of the socket every time we walk. He gets left home as a result and his quality of life suffers. I had the option to use the ecollar he is accustomed to but decided to try this collar as I wanted it to be self correcting rather then me having to properly time every correction. Well it worked like a champ. I put it on him. Tried to make him relax at the door. Opened the door and led him out and before we got down the stairs the lead went taught. It wasn’t the full on yank I usually get. He sat. He looked at me and then we carried on. I don’t need him behind me or not sniffing and being a dog. The walks are for his enrichment and I let him sniff and explore. All I care is I’m not dragged down the street. With some slight corrections, a heal and some training treats for reinforcement for healing and sitting when we stop it was transformative. Out first walk was three miles and there was no drama. The other day before I decided to buy the collar I made it 100 yards before I brought him home in frustration and walked alone. The other interesting benefit is his whole demeanor was so much calmer. He is not a dog that can be intimidated. When you struggle with him on the leash it only escalates the situation and makes him pull harder. He wasn’t cowed or upset. Just calm. Anyhow, I know a lot of people look at these and think they are pretty scary. They are a tool. The dog will self correct most likely and once he gets it his life will be improved. I had the same experience with the ecollar. He got less then five small corrections when we first got it and then got five years of off leash freedom in a beautiful park. Used properly and with positive reinforcement it worked perfectly and a well trained dog is a happy dog that is welcome wherever he goes. His life is better for it for sure.

Hard to put on
We researched this collar and learned it was a great safe for dogs, but we found it very hard to put on and off.

Bastante bonito
