Read it all and include the introductions and preface. Superb reference and guide for the student of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I am looking forward to reading this soon. I have other titles by Michael and Lesley Tierra and have enjoyed them. Great references for my library too. This book was delivered promptly, in excellent condition. I also purchased volume one, Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine Volume I Diagnosis and Treatment by the same authors.

The only reason I did not give this book a full five stars is because is it not a complete materia medica. However, the information it does contain is truly wonderful. Michael has a story to tell about all the herbs which helps to make them come alive and be much more memorable. A must for any herbal student or practitioner - just for the stories!

Covers the subject of TCM in depth, the methods, the herbs and case studies to prove its great value.

Great pair of books, especially if consulting a Chinese Practitioner. Do need to be bought as a pair and are not that easy to digest for someone without specialist knowledge. But nevertheless highly recommended.
